Out of body experience quest broken?

I've completed the quest and it says I can choose between either zed for a shield or marcus for a shotgun but doesn't give me an option to talk to zed, is there anyway to fix this?

I've done it plenty of times with missions I like to replay -like A Game of Games-, and it works wonders. Just make sure to backup your file first, in case something goes wrong.

I'm not sure what you mean by "option to talk to zed". You always have the "option" to talk to an NPC, with or without missions. Just try talking to him.

If you've already talked to Marcus, for any reason, then I think the reward will be locked into him, even if you haven't actually turned in the mission yet.

My bad I should have said it doesn't give an option to turn the quest into zed and i've yet to talk to either of them but to turn in the quest it says to talk to marcus who what I've seen from videoes will just try and give me the shotgun.

I had this glitch in my last playthrough with Krieg in that I couldn't turn the quest in to Moxxi for her specific reward after Safe and Sound or... Uh, I forget the name but the one where you collect Rakkahol for either her or Mordecai, I think it's because I had a quest involving Moxxi open but I couldn't work out which one it was. If I spoke to her she'd say her "how's that quest going?" line but there was no objective diamond over her on the map. Maybe you have one of Zed's quests accepted, try completing it if you have - if not, it's a glitch.

It could just be a glitch. There are certainly enough of them. If you haven't already, I'd try to talk to Zed, just in case, but it does sound like the reward has already been "locked" to Marcus, who will give you the shotgun. FWIW, neither of the rewards seemed that special to me, so I don't think you're missing much either way, and if you're still leveling, you'll out-level the gear before too long anyway. If you just wanted to try the shield out, you may just have to wait and do that in another playthrough, or with another character.
