If they were normal guns, were they new guns that you had just found during that last game session, or did you find them some time earlier?
i had than for a while , i dont play very often so i got those sniper and started some missons,
today i started playing and the second one was gone( the other one disappear the sameway...)
FWIW, if you had backup copies of your save file, you could use one of those to recover the missing guns. Put a backup copy in place temporarily, load the character, put the guns in the stash, and then switch back to your current save file and get the guns from the stash.
It's easy not to notice this if you're doing it quickly.
I don't know if this is just something to do with my system or it happens to others too but I've lost a lot of stuff this way.
I didn't think of that, but that happens to me too, and it's really annoying. I always check the "Buy back" list to make sure the right things were sold. If the OP was selling things, that could explain the "lost" items.
This happened to me, too, last night. I started the game as normal, with the exact same character having the exact same weapons as normal, but this time all the equipped weapon slots were now "empty". They were good guns, but not modded or in any other way unusual. I didn't drop them or sell them. It is probably related to network problems, because I was previously disconnected from joining another game. Borderlands 2 is clearly buggy, and losing data because of network problems is just unforgivable bad coding/testing. Crashes and lags I can deal with, but not losing valuable data. What will happen next time? My character gone? I will probably never play the game again.
Okay. I can understand that.
But you could also you know, do research to pinpoint what the cause of the problem was, and to avoid it in the future.
ALso, I'm prettty sure if it was based on bad net coding, a whole hell of a lot more people would have this bug.
you know what they say about Assume, right? :)
Seriously, it sucks, I get that, but it's not like the game does that all the time.
You should always research a bug you get, even if it's devestating.
That said, depending on your money, it might not take too long to get a good selection of guns again.
The game is a bit buggy, yes, but not insanely, like Bethesda games. :)
This game, or Bethesda games?
Daggerfall and Morrowind made you clip through the ground, and sometimes land back where you were, and take like 30 million falling damage. I'm guessing anyway.
It's why I give myself Slowfall ASAP in Morrowind.
Both games also crashed fairly often.
Oblivion, well, just look up the glitches on Youtube, They're funny. :)
Are you talking about the 4 (or less) guns that were "equipped" (in your hands), or the ones in your backpack?
If it was the ones in your hands, were they all new guns that you got during that last game session? If you lost all of the new items that you'd picked up (and any gained XP, etc.), then I might guess that your character had not been saved, but that wouldn't explain the empty slots. If your character had not been saved, those 4 slots would have been filled with the guns you had equipped the last time the character was saved.
If you seem to be missing all of the guns in your backpack, go to the inventory screen and try changing the sort option. One of the options doesn't show weapons, so it can look like your guns are missing.
