I have been searching Dr Zeds vendors for one of these, are there any Loot Midgets that drops these. Or a Boss?

Farming vending machines for a legendary piece of gear? Like, really?

I'm not sure if loot midgets drop this one, but according to the wiki, it has an increased chance to drop from Vermivorous, Voracidous and Pyro Pete. Assuming you have the DLCs, farming Pete is probably your best bet. Voracidous is a pain to fight and Vermivorous is a pain to spawn.

That's a one in a million. Maybe not that bad, but getting a legendary from a vending machine is about as rare as getting one from a world drop.

Legendary Soldier can show up anywhere you get normal loot. FWIW, I've found a few Legendary class mods in vendors, so they _can_ show up there, but I've been playing BL2 since release and have checked many thousands of vendors. :-)

If you have the Mercenary Day DLC, the chest after the boss always has some of everything, including 8 class mods, so it's one of the best places to look for one of the original Legendary class mods. Otherwise, you can get them from loot midgets (my first Legendary Soldier was a level 49 from a LM), and Pete in the Torgue DLC does seem to drop Legendary mods fairly often.

Chubby/Tubby hunting is a good way to get class mods. Set it to 4 player and try to spawn, Vermivorous you should get some spawning. I also run round Arid Nexus Badlands. Not only is it good exp, with all the, Rabids, Bonehead and Saturn you'll get the odd Chubby.

Only the newer Legendary class mods (like Legendary Engineer for the commando), and only when you're around level 62 or higher.

Yeah, before around level 62, tubbies (or chubbies pre-UVHM) can drop the WTF shield, Bunny launcher, Cracked Sash shield, or a special skin. Starting around level 62, the newer Legendary class mods get added to the list (and they actually seem to drop one of the mods most of the time). Tubbies are the only source in the game for those newer class mods.

They are enemies with the actual word Tubby or Chubby in the name, and they appear as a bloated version of the normal enemy. Varkids, Skags, Stalkers, even Skeletons. They're like a 'rare' version of a badass-level enemy.

I actually got mine on my siren when she was going through normal. It was in the wildlife preserve in a room with a red hyperion sorta chest, and a few boxes. 3 midgets popped out of the boxes, one of them gave me the legendary commando class mod, and at the same time, i got explicit unkempt harold from the chest.

Coincidentally, my first legendary Soldier came from that christmas-y DLC and the flavour text is "It's like christmas." hee hee hee.

u best bet is snowman train i got one on lvl 22 that on lvl 44 and one on 55-op1-2

Do you think that the OP is STILL looking for that class mod, after all this time? A year and a half later?
