how much times can i open the sanctuary chest?

Well im new to this game but i saw a guide of shift codes and i entered some codes and i got some keys which i used to open that chest but i saw it gives purple weapons so i closed the game fast so it doesnt get saved to get those purples later but im wondering if i use it now can i use it later? im level 8 and i want to use it around level 20-30

You may open the Golden Loot Chest located in Sanctuary as many times as you want, as long as you have Golden Keys. If you need Golden Keys, you may redeem some from the Shift Codes thread, but do note some keys may have expired and are disabled.

Well first off you won't get those exact purple weapons later sorry to say, the loot in the golden chest is random. Second, as long as you have keys you can use the chest. Third, it always scales with you so if you open it at level 10, level 20, level 23, and level 50 the loot in the chest will be 10, 20, 23, and 50; you can use it whenever you want. Side note, the amount of keys you have is spread across characters. So if you have 3 characters and 100 keys, using one key means you only have 99 left, you don't have 100 keys per character. So be a little cautious with the keys becaue if you use them all then other characters you use won't have the option.

I've heard many ppl save their keys into the 100's (at one time there was a 250 key max), probably because since the loot levels up with you, the longer you progress without using your key stash, the more powerful the weapons in it. However, you still may not want want you get from the chest; in that case, you can turn purple weapons into a cash pile by selling them at one of Marcus' machines (or trading them on the Steam market).

If you go through all the codes there should be something around 200 keys available. I have like 145 left.

:o sell on steam market i got a few of weapons i didnt want :P

You can keep opening the Golden Chest as long as you have Golden Keys.
