"If the Morningstar is put away during a quote-generating event, typically reloading, its voice may remain active even when using other weapons. Currently this is the only way to hear the "weapon switch-quotes." - Source: Borderlands Wikia.

The glitch happens when you switch weapons and while the voiceover from the Morningstar is active. For example, a Longrider, Slapper, Revolver, and Morningstar rifle are equipped. And so I use the Morningstar to clear out anything from a certain distance. Then, I reload and ignorning the last bits of the reload animation, I immediately switch to another weapon. I notice the voiceover from the Morningstar rifle while I reload, shoot, and switch to another weapon besides the Morningstar.

I'd suggest getting rid of it since the voiceover are an annoyance. it's up to you, but there are better sniper rifles you can find..

Read the discussion again. It says that I know how its caused, so you don't need to point it out. Also, I dropped it randomly and left it there, and it still is there. So yeah. Not too helpful...

Store it somewhere like the bank, then completely exit the game and start it again. The voices should be gone, works for me.

Theres a problem there for me... I've already dropped it and I haven't got a crap worth of clues to where it is.

Alright wise guy, I had that problem before and had solved it by simply restarting the game. If you were a tad bit more specific like "I already restarted BL2 yet the problem remains present." then my response would've been a lot different bc my answer was based off your concern since I had read it.

Now, all I can suggest are the following:
- Restart Computer
- Verify Integrity of Cache, I have some doubts if it will work.
- If your broadband speed is great, uninstall and reinstall BL2.
-If you made backups of previous times/sessions then replace your current save (only the character affected by glitch) with the previous one.

Otherwise, just wait for someone else to respond which will be unlikely.

My Morningstar turned out to be more trouble than was worth in combat, but I hung on to it longer than usual even with better rifles in my pack, because of the fame factor. I don't do that anymore. Some weapons come in different versions (elementals, explosive, etc.) and maybe even higher powers depending on when/where you get them. IMO, you should keep whatever weapons work best for your character, regardless of color or level. You can also share with teammates or sell to Marcus for cash. Wait...you could also mute the sound, (which can be super-annoying). It reminded me of an ex-wife :-)
