^ I'm building my Salvador exactly like in this Gunzerker build/guide and following the leveling guide in it ( i'm lvl 33 ) and Salvador owns. I really recommend you check it.

Also some weapon selection ideas
- slag !!!
- a slag ruby (or grog) in one hand will help you survive a whole lot and apply slag
- the money shot with a jackobs quad or a ravager is something to behold
- (other than a quad jackobs shotty) full auto is the way to go with zerking
- as you level up, focus on pistols while putting points into Divergent-Likeless (grog|ruby + pistol)
- singularity nades are great for zerking, pull them together and blast away (quasar)
A class mod that adds points to money shot is key! A blue Chaotic Evil Monk that adds +6 money shot and buffs fire-rate and crit-hit-damage is the absolute best.
When I first entered TVHM, I had very few decent weapons that were going to be underleveled soon anyway. You can beat the game pretty easily with just green weapons though, however I strongly recommend the Rampage build so that you can perma gunzerk. Money shot is more for a raid-boss run and is great for that because you can self heal easily with grog or rubi and the target is so large that you won't miss your money shots. With trash mobs, I feel there isn't enough consistent healing available to make close up fighting worth the risk. Plus you probably don't have the equipment needed, such as rubi or grog as both will get underleveled and be useless for offensive DPS.
Also, if you don't know, when you're gunzerking, some skills, etc. supposedly don't work for the off-hand gun, so you might not be doing as much damage as you think you are. Here's a thread in the Gearbox forums about it:

Edit: Link changed to point to the old Gearbox forums at their new address
@OP
Since you are lvl 35 yet, i think it's too soon to invest points in Money shot. You will want this skill for later, for when you will be a higher lvl and will have better gear, but for now it's just a waste imo.
Check the guide that i posted above, it has a leveling guide that explains very well when it's the right time to start investing in Money shot ( or any other skill ) and what gear you should have/use.
Like i said, i have a Salvador ( lvl 33 atm ) exactly with the same skill tree as in guide and leveling/spending my points like it says in the leveling guide and i'm owning in game.
Thanks for literally contributing nothing to the conversation.
Thanks, i think i'm going to go in the direction you guys recommended
That really sucks about the off-hand, real boner killer. Only the Law is 31 everything else i have is close to 35. The only reason i keep the Law is because i haven't found any good revolvers that match the stats. I have been using the keys and thus far haven't gotten much that's good.
Yeah, it's kind of a mess. :-) I don't think too much about most of it. Too many details (what works and what doesn't) to try to keep track of it all. The one thing I do keep in mind is that amp shields don't work for the off-hand. That was a real surprise when I first read it, because you still get the visual and audio effects, so it seems like it's working, unless you look at the actual damage numbers.
FYI, Gearbox has just changed their forums (something that has been coming for a while), so the link I posted doesn't work anymore. The old forums are supposed to be available for viewing at a new address, eventually, but I don't think they are yet.
