Linux Steelseries Sensei problems

I think this is more universal to steam, but I like to map Mouse-4 and Mouse-5 to a couple keyboard actions and it works in Windows, but not here. The buttons perform actions outside of Steam games on the desktop so I know they aren't disabled in some way. Does anyone have a clue?

Try running the profiling software as adminastrator.

This bug is all over these forums already, so you could have just searched to get your answer, but the short version of it is: the bug is known, Aspyr will probably patch it but their priority is currently with the Borderlands Pre-Sequel.

I figured it out and from doing this, it Really isn't a bug at all, just the saved configurations on the NVRAM stored in the mouse. I went to Windows and configured the settings for the mouse and mapped the mouse keys to the +/- on my numpad. I can assign them ingame now!

That's because the game now sees them as keys on your keyboard, which are now emulated by the mouse. Borderlands 2 still isn't able to recognize the MOUSE4 and MOUSE5 buttons by itself, that is a bug and it will be fixed according to Aspyr.
