Open the ingame console (usually by pressing ~) and type "stat fps", without the quotes.

If you don't know that then don't bother with the fps :P

Yeah, go to ~/.local/share/aspyr-media/borderlands2/willowgame/config/willowinput.ini and change ConsoleKey=Tilde and TypeKey=Forwardslash (you have to type out the full word, capitals and all). Then ingame, press / and type "stat fps". It'll be in the upper right corner :)

go to the steam overlay, settings>in-game and turn on the fps counter. (this is not known as the most accurate but still)

Thread is very old. OP is probably dead by now. Still, helpful of you.

Hi I am using Borderlands 2 purchased on Steam and running under Windows 8.1 64bit. I tried the following in an attempt to display FPS from within Borderlands 2:

===========================================================
Open DefaultInput.ini
---> Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Borderlands 2\WillowGame\Config
look for the part that says:
[Engine.Console]

underneath "[Engine.Console]" put the following:

ConsoleKey=Tilde
TypeKey=Backslash
==========================================================

It does work for me.
I tried pressing the ~ key and the console is shown.
I then type the following in the console:
stat fps

The FPS counter is shown however it is very small. It is also in a strange position on the screen.
Is there any way to increase the size of the FPS CXounter in Borderlands 2?

I want to be able to record and display FPS clearly on Plays.TV.
- Steam FPS counter does not get recorded at all.
- RadeonPro FPS counter does not get recorded at all.
- FRAPS FPS counter does not get recorded at all.

Has anyone got any ideas on commands to increase the size of the Borderlands 2 FPS counter?

Thanks.
