Rabid stalkers
How **insert 60 minutes long list of curse words** are you supposed to handle those Rabid stalker pests? They're ridiculously tough, takes eternity to kill one of them and attack like madmen...... Tips are well appreciated! Currently I'm using Moxxi's Rubi for slagging (works nice together with MIRV grenades to restore health), a shock weapon to take the shields and then a fire weapon to burn them. Gear is purple two levels below my current level, haven't found anything better.

they are intended to make your life hell. ....... same with the armored psychos.

puts a little humility into your gun totin' heart..... ;)

I hate to just go with the obvious, but DPUH. Forget the shock and just slag them and hit them with a faceful of explosions. :-) If you don't have an Unkempt Harold, a Torgue shotgun would probably be the next best thing. Look for a Ravager for the most damage per trigger pull. That was my preferred weapon for anything close for a long time, until I started using UH's.

If you're in UVHM, gear that's 2 levels below you is starting to get a bit weak, but should still be OK for the most part.

You might also mention what character you're playing. Certain things will work better with certain characters.

zomg yeah rabid stalkers are super annoying along with the rabid skags. lol imagine if there were also rabid rakk's or even rabid bullymongs hahahahaha.
Yeah, some of the most annoying enemies. Which level are you and in which part of the game are you having problems exactly?

I usually relly on my action skills A LOT for Borderlands games, I mean, is a main feature that differences the game with others so may as well use it as much as I can.

With Maya is obvious, phaselocke, kill, avoid the rest the best you can till the skill is ready again. With Axxton and Gaige your abilities can distract them which is cool. Zero, Krieg and Salvador are the ones that I had the most problems with these ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, specially Zero since he´s more weak.

I would suggest using thorn damage shields (shock to get the shield down quick) and then blast them with a Hyperion Fire Shotgun, the golden chest usually drops lots of Hyperion Shotguns and I prefer those for quick shots. If you´re Zero he can be updated to reload guns reaaaaally quick and then you may use Bandit SHotguns, but others characters may suffer the long reload times of this "company".

Phaselock + a sweetspotted Pimpernel shot in the mouth.

Otherwise, strafing around it in a circle and jumping to avoid their leaps.

Or if you're playing as Krieg and have added points into Strip The Flesh then slag the Rabid and use your Unkempt Harold, if you have some trouble with the UH you can finish it off with your melee skill.

It's with my only single player character, the Mechromancer, I'm level 46, in the wildlife preserve (I also had problems with them in the highlands but there I managed to run). Only thing that's slightly outdated is my level 35 Bee, I do have some other shields as well but I'm having ammo issues if I don't use the Bee :-(

Good call. If you can't keep rabids away, a spike shield could be a big help.

If you're using a level 35 Bee against level 45-ish rabid stalkers, you better kill them before they get to you, because that shield is going to be like tissue paper to them. :-)

For the mechro, one idea would be to give DT a shock spike shield, then maybe switch to something else for yourself.

How much Anarchy do you have? If you have enough a Bee isn't really necessary.

The problem isn't killing one when it's alone, but I tend to get them in groups, so I usually end up with one death for each rabid stalker I kill, which kinda sucks, but at least I do progress. I know that the Bee got a ridiculously low shield capacity for level 44 stalkers, but running out of ammo is worse.

For the shield, I don't have that sharing is caring skill yet (I'm one level away from unlocking 20% cooler)

400 max stacks (unless I'm being murdered by rabid stalkers).

Edit: I just arrived at the ammo/medicine shop halfway through. What do you guys recommend I do after that quest? Farm level 50 gear in Tiny Tina's Forest? (since TVHM supposedly turns everything into level 50 when you get to that point, or am I completely wrong here?)

Ammo shouldn't be _that_ much of a problem. Maybe you need to spend some Eridium on some ammo SDU's. If you don't have much Eridium, you can switch back to Normal Mode and farm the Warrior for a while.

If your ammo capacities aren't low, then you may just be using the wrong weapons (so you're having to use more ammo). Or, of course, if your weapons are under-leveled, you're going to use more ammo.

As for "groups" of rabid stalkers, a singularity grenade (preferably shock or slag) could help with that. Pull them together, then hit them with an area effect (UH, shotgun or rocket launcher).

I don't know what you mean by "that point", but most everything scales to level 50 after you beat the Warrior at the end of TVHM. If you're just now doing the Bloodwing mission, you've got a long way to go before the end of TVHM. Until then, DLC maps will scale to your current character level the first time you enter them (up to a maximum of 50). So, if you haven't started the Tina DLC already, you could start it now and get some gear around your current level, including a new Bee when you get to The Forest.

I was thinking that everything became level 50 when you hit 50 in TVHM but from what you say I'm probably a bit off here......I guess my current game plan will be to beat bloogwing and then go to the forest and farm like a madman.......
