Is the Cobra worth it?
Is the Cobra worth all that trouble?, I've heard people say it is but I wanna be sure, if it is, can somebody dupe a level 48-51 cobra?

Farming wise? No. You're better off asking someone from the trade forums.

It's a Jakobs that fires explosive rounds, but other than that I've never really played with it much.

I use one at Op levels and it's very good, very powerful. The explosive rounds don't appear like a big explosion but they do a lot of damage, not only to the target but others around the target. The bullets travel almost instantaneously, so it's useful for flying targets. As far as ranking, I'd say it's about 150% better than the Volcano.

Cobra is great, but just like every other item in this game, it is not worth farming for. You get almost as good, if not much, much better, loot from just doing the Mission Rewards. No point in wasting so much time for a Cobra when you can get the Sloth, Morningstar, and/or Trespasser so much easier and all have equivelant gameplay results.

Cobra, having Explosive damage on it for free, and being a Jakobs, it has great power. The explosive part makes it seem to deal about 2x or 3x(I forget the exact value) the listed Damage, and Criticals have about a 6x damage bonus on top of that, for something like 12x or 18x the card damage on Crits. So a good shot can easily be instant death for a good chunk of enemies, and leave the rest missing most of their health.

The explosive damage gives the Cobra some AoE damage, so you can sometimes aim for the ground between enemies, and let the blast handle them. This tends to work better for things like swarms of Larval/Blood Varkids, due to them being somewhat fragile on their own.

Cobra is, sadly, based off the Blue Jakobs Snipers, and it typically has a Fire Rate of 0.6 or so, meaning that it is typically best left as a fight starter, by getting a brutal Crit before the enemies aggro. One-shot one-kill sorta thing... but a missed shot has you somewhat vulnerable.

Worth farming for? No. This thing has a worse drop rate then most Legendary guns. Worth using if you get your hands on one? Sure thing, just watch out for the low fire rate.
