Refactored Fibber
I just got a refactored fibber from Mal and I wonder wtf the "Refactored" prefix does, anyone tell me?

118x1 damage
+50% love
+3000% damage
Firing increases accuracy

I also currently got a Bee equipped and noticed that my damage with it is lackluster at best, does refactored mean that it counts as a shotgun when calculating amp damage?

Beats me. Couldn't find it on lists of gibbed items either. The damage might be low because you're supposed to bounce it from surfaces though. If you shoot directly it is pretty bad.

The best fibber has the type 3 barrel (ricocheting/flower pattern spread). It show the highest amount of damage of the three barrel types. The worst is the shotgun type. in the middle is the crit damage fibber.

To tell the three types:
the ricocheting will always have the highest damage. 111111 damage for example. Bullets split into 9 projectiles after ricocheting.

the shotgun fibber will always have a x1 damage. 5555x1 damage for example. Fires a Slow moving projectile with a shotgun like spread.

the crit fibber will always have the lowest damage . 1111 damage for expamle. Bullets leave a trail in the air when bouncing off of something.

I believe that Refactored means you have a Tediore grip, but no accessory.

Even though the stats on the card lie, you can tell which variant of the Fibber you have by looking at the damage. Given that your card says x1 on it, I'm guessing it's the variant that fires 7 slow traveling pellets.

You're probably looking for the variant that splits into 9 when it ricochets off a surface. That variant has a very large number listed as its damage.

It fires 7 bullets, and about half ricochets when I fire at a flat surface, at an angle. It doesn't seem to split, any ideas?

See my post above... You have the x1 damage shotgun type that is the worst type of fibber.

Just typical, well it's only playthrough 1 so it's not the end of the world, but thanks for answering which type it was!

Here's[forums.gearboxsoftware.com] a good resource on the Fibber and its variants.

On your next playthorugh you can farm the quest reward.. Just save and exit before you turn in the quest. then load back up and turn in quest, if its not the one you want dont accept it just alt+f4 to exit without saving. Then load again and and turn in again. repeat until you get the one you want.

I'll keep that in mind, thanks for the tip!
