where can I find a rocket launcher?

I can't seem to find a rocket laucher any where, do any of you know where I can find one?

Well, first of all it would help to know what level you are...

Second, if you're early into the game rocket launchers are rare and even if you do find them ammo is rare and you can't buy any; I want to say the first place you can buy rocket ammo is Sanctuary but i'm not for certain on that.

Third, open chests, check machines. If that doesn't work give the game the ol "save quit" and then hit "continue" and chests and machines should be reset.

Yeah, you should check the vending machines, I think the first one I found was in there at around level 18.

Alternatively you could use a gold key or two at the chest in Sanctuary. I've got a Corrosion Projectile at level 13 which is useful.

you can usually find a lvl11 r/l in a chest on the ledge in bandit camp entering southpaw steam and power to kill the assassins, they are also found when you rescue roland in the chests on the way

They don't start showing up until a certain level. For example, the ammo vendor in Liar's Berg doesn't even have rockets, because there are no launchers at that level. I don't know when they start showing up, but they may still be somewhat rare at level 13. All you can do is keep looking.

I know it's not level 12 because i'm a 12 with a character now and while i have a Bunny that i got from a chubby skag i can't find ammo anywhere, not even in Sanctuary.

They start to show up after lvl 10 http://www.gearboxsoftware.com/community/articles/1087/inside-the-box-the-borderlands-2-loot-system
