Unable to play the game (Crashing)
Ever since 2025 started, I've had issues opening Borderlands 2. I've done hours of research trying to figure out why it crashes on start up, and when I eventually get into the game by sheer luck, I end up crashing when going into a new area. I'll list solutions I've tried, because I just don't know what else to do and I want to know if anyone else is having these problems.

-Drivers don't need to be updated
-Uninstalled windows updates, changed nothing
-Verified Game Files
-Cleared game cache
-Installed Windows 11 over windows 10
-Deleted and re-installed
-Ran game on fullscreen windowed instead of fullscreen (worked for a little bit, still crashed)
-Ultra HD DLC is not installed

It is important to note that I crashed on overwatch 2 a few times as well, and my fortnite barely works in a similar fashion, so it might be my pc, but I can't find a fix for any of these problems, and it only started on New years day, so I wasn't having issues before. I just am completely out of options and would like some help if possible.

that will prob be the pc i think, same thing happend to be in like the exact same time last year, couldnt play any game cause it was either laggy or it would just crash. The issue was that my graphics card melted down, got a replacement and everything worked again. I would say to go like a tech shop and get a somebody to check on your pc if all is working normally or if anything is broken
Small Update, I got the issues fixed on every game BUT borderlands 2 now, so uh, that's cool. Still Crashing on start up, and sometimes when just travelling in game.

what do you have Physx set at ?
I have it set to low. This also gave me zero issues when I had my old pc, but my new one can't seem to handle this game somehow. Does it tend to have problems with higher end parts and stuff?

if tis happening in more games than this its your pc, maybe your ram sticks are broken i had that problem on my old computer, i then had a problem with isntalling new games and random crashes bc of the broken ram. if you think this could be it you can check if your ram is broken in windows, but it likely could be something else maybe reinstalling windows could help or something like that.
I got it figured out the other day, it was a BIOS update, but I apparently got the wrong motherboard from the manufacturer and the only difference is like a II at the end of the name lol, so I was trying the wrong BIOS updates the entire time lol

Nice, if you are playing bl2 and get stutters or out of memory crashes, try using dxvk it fixed all theses problems for me and gave me an fps boost.
