You aren't gonna be banned for modding the game, homie. The EULA is about as basic as it gets and just about everything else that has a ToS you agree to is almost the exact same. This one has nothing new, and people are just spreading fearmongering to folks who fall for this stuff easy. Really upsetting to see how a community I've been a part of for over a decade now has turned into this...

The game hasn't been updated or changed with anything related to the EULA or TOS these changes are most likely for bl4 related content and will not have effects on the previous entries in the series.

proof you did not read the TOS.....its listed that they can perma ban a account for hacks and mods done years ago.....

at this point we cant even make the joke about you working for the company as you are just a blind fanboy that thinks this is ok

So they can ban you if you mod the game? and what they going to do? take the game away from you?

not possible unless... the game requires mandatory account and launcher (account based DRM and quasi always online DRM) if that's the case lol they can absolutely ban you.

That's why i don't support games that force players to use launchers and accounts even for the single player experience.

absolutely mindblowing.

This is them testing the waters , it's good for players to get mad about it , say you don't like it , if you just shrug and ignore they will push things further.

If they want to ban players for modding players will just be real "gamers" and "find a way" to play like randy suggested people "find a way" to pay 80 bucks.

No matter what the TOS says , I will mod my own damn games if I feel like it and now I'm strongly reconsidering buying BL4 in the first place.

Some how game companies keep making the official version of games less appealing than the "alternative" versions which by necessity removes all that DRM crap and nannyware that prevents you from modding your own damn single player games.

Now they threaten to ban you for doing it ? It's like they want to encourage people to not buy their game.

Fine by me , I didn't want to give randy money , now I have incentive not to.

Show me how bl2 and bltps are suddenly collecting all your user information without being updated in several years when the TOS has been changed for like a week.

finally some common sense around here, the TOS literally states that the mods will only get you banned if they grant an advantage over another player, (otherwise known as a cheat) which people have to realize that this TOS is made for all of Take Two's IPs and basically doesn't even effect borderlands. it really sucks that people have been review bombing the game for something that takes about two seconds to actually understand, like seriously this has been taken way out of hand.
