New EULA
Since frankly I'm a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥, I didn't read through the new ToS and simply pressed accept. Since there are numerous security issues relating to access with my PC, are there possible files that I could delete to prevent any communication between TakeTwo and my PC? Idk how to describe it but I feel y'all understand what I mean

You go to your Steam installation folder, steamapps, common and delete the funny folder called 'Borderlands 2' or downgrade your game.

Thanks for the input - already did that. Seems I’m safe for now.

at this point, the amount of spyware already existing on pc's phones and other such devices even fresh installations have it, so what if take two is doing this, iv seen so much worse.

You could stay on the latest version and block BL2 in your firewall. If you really hate them, you could add TakeTwo's to your hosts file.

Ah yes, the good ol' "Well, other people are doing the bad thing so why should I fight back and respect myself? Might as well let them trample me because I'm too complacent with terrible and outright evil practices! Boy, I love corporations!"

We are aware the EULA is literally a boilerplate, and does not actually steal stuff from your computer, or do anything malicious, right?

LOL wut?

Like, really, an updated EULA, that literally does nothing really different, is somehow that bad?

While my proposed solution just a few messages up would alleviate all concerns (blocking connections), your argument makes things a bit more difficult. Because If it doesn't nothing really different, why bother getting lawyers on payroll to update it?

Anyway, really, just block the connection. You can play with friends via steam and such just fine anyway.

I don't understand.
IT literally only changed the part about the binding arbitration clause.
That is the only change.

There is nothing added to the game that tries to spy on you.
That wouldn't make any sense.
That's not even how this company works.

Lawyers aren't really needed to do any updates to a EULA.
THere are many many many programs and games that do updates to their EULA.
THis has been a thing for many many years.

Steam literally had an update to their EULA last year.
No one freaked out about to the extent people did this game.

Mostly because by definition, the only way to opt out of the Steam changes to the EULA is to not use your account ever again.

The connection to any server is the same as it's always been for this game.
THere's nothing else to it.
No change.

Block it if you want, but it's the same as it has always been.

Some of the things in the new TOS pretty much says that they can ban you for modding the game, abusing glitches, talking about glitches, making videos on glitches, talking bad about the game, talking bad about the company/employees, making mods, using mods...

Does that sound good to you? Because no self-respecting person would look at all of that and think that's fine- especially after all of this blanket affects ALL borderlands games, even the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ps vita version.

Except none of that is true.
LOL wut.

Modding is still a huge thing, and is still being done to this day.
They have never banned modding.

It's well documented that the only change is binding arbitration.
There is no way for them to even do half the things people claim they are allowing.

Good grief.

How would they even ban you from a single player game? LOL
That's the biggest possible evidence people are lying about the EULA changes.

It is literally impossible to do that for a single player game.
Not to mention wow would there be so many people screaming and yelling about it, that it would have imploded the company.
