1) Captain Scarlets Booty
2) Torgues Campaign of Carnage
3) T.K's Bloody Harvest
4) The Ravenous Wattle Gobbler
5) Marcus Mercenary Day
6) Moxxi & the Wedding Massacre
7) Hammerlocks Big Game Hunt
8) Hammerlock vs the Son of Crawmerax
9) Tiny Tina Assault on Dragonkeep
10) Commander Lilith

Some of the shorter ones might be better switched around, but overall this is a good order to play them in.

I would suggest playing them (for the first time) in release order:

Captain Scarlett
Mr Torgue
Sir Hammerlock
Tiny Tina
(and of course Commander Lilith, though I think the others are better).

The Headhunter missions are shorter and mostly holiday themed. You can mostly play them whenever.

As for which mode to play them in, I'd suggest caution. The game has too much content for both Normal and for TVHM modes. It is very easy to get over-leveled if you try to do everything.

The goal is:
Normal 1-30ish
TVHM 30-50
UVHM 50-80

The issue is how much experience each DLC gives you. Even the shorter ones like Captain Scarlett and Mr Torgue will still give you 3-5 levels. So plan accordingly. In each mode you MUST complete the main story to unlock the next mode, and that's going to give you (generally speaking) at least 10ish levels.

So if you're already at least level 30, and you've completed Talon of God, I'd suggest moving on to TVHM. In TVHM, you'll need to repeat the main story, but you can skip all the side quests, and substitute in a DLC or two instead (to make up for the lost experience).

In UVHM mode, there's plenty of time to do everything. The reason to worry about over leveling is because UVHM mode is dynamic. Enemies are always your level (or 1 to 2 higher than yours in the case of bosses). However, weapons and gear in TVHM are capped at 50. Starting UVHM at (for example) level 57, with level 50 weapons is quite a painful experience. So, try to aim your character development to end up at 50 just as you complete the main story in TVHM.

Also, as a final consideration, the DLCs are more fun when they're challenging, and if you try to them all in Normal mode, you'll end up out-leveling them all and they'll seem too easy.

Agreed. Plus Torgue is amazing and you want to meet him asap. Do the rest all after that. There's no real order. Dragons Keep is by far the best. So much so it's also a standalone game. Which seems odd but whatever.

+1 for Captain Scarlet or Torgue being the best place to start , both are funny , interesting and have decent rewards without feeling too "out of character" for the rest of the game, the other DLC's like tina and the holiday ones are more gimmicky.

Also what Nakos said about over leveling the DLC is very true, if you do them all in normal you will ruin the fun because they don't scale up enough , I would choose Scarlet or Torgue first , then in the next difficulty try the other one.

Hammerlock also stays pretty true to the normal gameplay but the DLC itself is kinda meh.

Tiny Tina DLC is well made and interesting but to me it's too much , too much tina not shutting up , too much lilith being a b!tch , too much "hello fellow nerds" patronizing that gets under my skin and feels fake. Even too much DLC , it feels like some areas were just way too stretched out just to pad the DLC.

The other DLC's I only do if I specifically want a certain drop , the heads/skins from them are all pretty crappy looking , TK is probably my favorite of the holiday themed ones but they are all pretty cheesy.

Worth doing them once at least to experience it but save them for last.
