Gun melee dmg and Krieg's buzz axe rampage

Does anybody know if the melee dmg from a gun impacts the dmg from krieg's buzz axe rampage ?

Nope. Krieg's Buzzaxe is treated as something of a 5th weapon you switch to during his action skill. Any Gun based effects from your actual guns stop working.

no weapon ever affects Buzz Axe Rampage except two:

- the drunk effect from grog nozzle lets u throw 6 axes (since it is classified as a pistol in the game code)
- Nozzle and Rubi will heal some percent if you hit yourself in the face with StV (it is considered dmg)

Rubi, Grog Nozzle, and other Moxxi weapons don't apply for BAR, aside from throwing an axe just before it ends, and drawing the Moxxi weapon, while the Drunk effect cannot occur naturally during BAR, you'll only get the drunk axes if you BAR while drunk... and the Drunk effect applies to ANY weapon, not just Pistols.

whoa whoa whoa a bit of confusion there.

- If U BAR while drunk, you will throw 6 axes (http://www.reddit.com/r/Borderlands/comments/1hcsut/grog_nozzle_buzz_axe_rampage_fun/)
- only 2 moxxi wpns heal for anything else than the actual wpn dmg, rubi and moxxi. They dont apply when in BAR but for some reason they still apply if you hit yaself in the face. IF you were holding one of them before going BAR. This has been tested and confirmed.
- As I said, no wpn effect will ever affect BAR. But for some reason it affects thrown axes since the game "thinks" it is a pistol.

I know how StV and Moxxi weapons interact, I play Krieg at level 50, and I know how Grog Nozzle makes any weapon fire off 6 shots with reduced fire rate. Neither of these are really BAR related, just the nature of Moxxi weapons and Grog Nozzle, and how they interact with Krieg.

Moxxi healing on StV while in BAR? That sounds new to me, and is something I might look into. It won't make BAR/RTB stop being worse compared to non-BAR/RTB, but is interesting.

grog with StV doesnt rly matter, on OP levels with a RR shield StV barely even tickles anyway. You get so much damage reduction and bonus HP with the correct build.
