Where should I spend my Badass Points (Maya)
89 Badass Points (not alot but hey it's something.)

I know it doesn't really matter where you put them, I'm just asking where should I mainly be focusing on. Like I know for a fact I won't be using Melee so none will be put on there and I know I'll NEED the elemental chances and damage.

don't spend them on melee, spend them on elemental chances and damage

both elemental stats, fire rate, gun damage (not really specific for maya, but i feel like gun dmg is just the best stat overall), other stats that are still helpful would be reload speed, accuracy, and recoil reduction since you'll still be using guns all the time as maya

Someone who knows how to help. :)

So main focus ones
Elementals
Fire Rate
Gun Damage
Reload
Accuracy
Recoil

And whenever I don't have a choice for either of them would you recommend any of the shield ones? Health is a given more health why not and crits are alright I suppose and Grendes are kinda meh until end game. It's just these shield choices. Shield Cap , Delay and Rate.

If you want a focus, it should be on 4 things to avoid. I personally suggest avoiding Melee Damage, Shield Capacity/Recharge Rate/Recharge Delay, but you might consider swapping one of the non Delay options out for Elemental Chance.

See, the list of Badass skills will always show any Badass stats that have fallen behind by a clear amount. If you leave 4 stats at, say, 1%, they will always appear... but there will be a 5th stat that is one you aren't ignoring.

If a shield has 5.00 Delay, 10% in Badass Shield Delay reduces the Delay to 4.50, and 20% to 4.0... but later on, you might have interest in playing Melee with Krieg or Zero, and they can benefit from longer Delay.

Elemental Chance, if I am correct, is a boost based off the existing rate. If you have 30% Element chance and +10% Badass Element Chance, you get 33% Element chance, as 3% is a 10% boost to 30%. Maya's Flicker skill works in the same way. A boost is a boost, it is always good, but a +100% would take a 30% and make it 60%, so the boost isn't as big as you might like.

shield capacity and recharge rate are fine, but if you ever plan on making a melee character you should avoid shield recharge delay, since roid shields work better with longer delays

Alright so what I did was I pretty much took everything BUT the Delay and Melee choices. (Does that sound good for a Maya character?)

Badass stats share for every character you make, they are pretty much infinite, and the only choice that could ever actually bother you in the long run is Delay, so anything else is perfectly fine :)

FWIW, I put points in shield recharge delay, because (aside from being good for "normal" shields) that helps with the Bee, which has a long delay (it can be over 8 seconds). And I just don't like melee, so I'm not too worried about that. If I ever end up using melee, and some of the melee shields, more, I'll just have to deal with it. But for anything else, decreasing the recharge delay is a plus.

Also, some might suggest trying to avoid maximum health. There's a thing called "health gating", where you try to keep your health above a certain % of your maximum, so that the next hit won't put you into FFYL. The higher your maximum health, the longer it may take to get above that %. So you may want to avoid just arbitrarily dumping points into max health.

Alright so avoid health (got that sounds weird saying) and avoid melee :) pick up everything else aside those two got you.

To be honest, getting maximum health doesn't make a difference if you build for health gating. ie; my health-gater has 4,500~ health with BA bonuses disabled, and 5,100~ with 15% extra maximum health from BA bonuses. That's only 500 extra health, which won'tt make any sort of difference for a character who regenerates 12,000~ health per second.

On the other hand, that 15% -or whatever you have- can end up adding half a million for a tanky character.
