did you pick up the first boss' echo recorder?
spiff May 11, 2014 @ 12:59am
There is no recorder, I already did the kill the assasins mission, I am replaying this level to get that challenge.

Ive had the recorder fall through the floor, just save and restart.

If you've done the mission and turned it in, and I assume you killed the first assassin when you went back (since that's why you were there), then I'd have to assume that Oney not showing was a random glitch. The obvious thing would be to exit to the menu and reload and try again. If that doesn't work, the next thing would be to exit the game completely and then try again. If that doesn't work, I'm not sure what else to suggest. It seems like a longshot, but you could try the old thing to "verify" the game files. Other than that, if Oney has spawned, but the door hasn't opened, maybe you could kill him through the door with an area effect, like a tesla grenade or an e-tech rocket launcher.

Even if it is a random thing, still I would consider this a tiny bug. On the official boards, 2 other players complained about it. But that is not enough to stir up the developpers hive I guess.

Anyway, like other challenges in B2 it seems I gave up to early on the quit-save-continue tactic :)

This is a challenge for later when I have a lot of patience.

Sure, if an assassin is not showing up when he should, then that's a bug, but that kind of thing is usually corrected by exiting and reloading, so it's not really game-breaking. Just annoying. :-)

As for the challenge, if you're doing it in TVHM or UVHM, you can always go back and do it in Normal Mode instead. That way you can just blast through everything, so that if you have a problem like that, at least you don't waste a lot of time.

Sure. The character and their gear will be the same, no matter which mode you load in. That can be very handy if, for example, you want to stock up on Eridium or Torgue tokens, since the amount you get is basically the same in any mode.

No problem. Challenges like the Southpaw boss one are extremely easy if you take a higher level character back to Normal Mode. Just walk through the map (or run if you're in a hurry :-) and kill everything you see.
