I don't know mate I agree with him, it so freaking long that it actually discourage me to create new character

If you mean the story Marcus tells, and the train blowing up, that can be skipped on later characters. If you mean the bits up to My First Gun, Blindsided, or even Cleaning Up The Burg, that isn't skipable, but isn't that bad, being actual gameplay.

Yeah, you can skip the movie (after a few seconds), to the point after the crash. Then there's the part where Claptrap finds you, when you can't do anything, and you can't skip that. Maybe that's what the OP was talking about. That does get fairly old, but it doesn't seem like that big a deal, unless you're always starting new characters.

FWIW, I don't think that's what the OP was talking about (he said "click new game"), and I doubt there's any way to "disable" the scene when Claptrap finds you (since I think it's a scripted event played out in the game engine, as opposed to a movie).

Also, FWIW, the guide is wrong. Using -nostartupmovies does not remove "any kind of movie or cutscene on the game". It just disables the ads when you first start the game (the Gearbox, etc. logos). I've been using that option for a long time and still get the intro movies whenever I start a DLC or meet a "new" character.

I know you didn't create the guide, but since you mentioned it, I wanted to mention that it's wrong.

Well when I'm new to the game I tried out all 4 to test which ability I like the most, now 1 year later I tried another charater and I remembered why I havent touch it for a year haha

Its everything, First the story, then the introduction on all the characters then there is claptrap, and i have played the game for 140 hours but if i want to start a new game i have to wait for so long, yes i know we can modify files to skip stuff like this, its just annoying that we have to. What does it matter to the people that created the game if we care about the story or not ? i dont care about story in any game really, i pay to play not to listen ! :P

from the link I posted: Option 1: Disable all cutscenes including history movies.
Many players find annoying the intro cutscenes when a new character or boss is introduced. This movies cannot be skipped so you'll have to be forced to watch them all, even if (like me) you are playing on the second playthrough of your fifth character. If that's the case you'll be tired of watching some of the movies, specially when you arrive to Sanctuary.
This will also disable 2k and Nvidia advertising when you launch the game.

Be aware that this method:

Will disable all the movies on the game and is meant to players on their second or more playthrough or playing with new characters.
You should consider not following this guide until you finish your first walkthrough, as you may miss some fun character intro movies (such as Tiny Tina intro in all her epicness).

This is a pretty weak reason to not play.

Uh, click left mouse button three time real quick and those are skipped.

Also after Marcus, Esc skips the train.

What I meant was the tutorial was so freakinglishly long, the dev didn't meant for player to replay the game, because who in their right mind make a 2-3 hours long tutorial, the tutorial doesnt end until you reach sanctuary right, until you met everyone, I don't really remember when it end

I thought the game started on TVHM.... :claugh:

Well, as already mentioned, you can skip the Marcus story (after a few seconds). Then you select your character and you have to sit through where Claptrap finds you, but I just don't see that as a real problem, and I've been through that dozens of times (that's part of how I create mules).

I'm not really sure what you mean by "tutorial", but, FWIW, there is a setting in the options for "Training messages". I've just left that on, but maybe turning it off would eliminate some of the "tutorial" that you're talking about?
