So, how does farming bosses work?
Don't get me wrong, I'm not a noob to Borderlands. I've played on Xbox for a while, and just recently got it on PC (And I can say it's so much better). But something has always confused me; farming bosses. For example, say I wanted to get the shield "The Sham", or the shotgun "The Conference Call". You have to farm the BNK3R and The Warrior to get these, respectively. Whenever I kill these bosses, they're easy as hell and I get no good loot. I think that what may be the problem is that I farm them on Normal Mode, but I'm on playthrough two. They're like level 30 when I fight them, and I'm 41. I heard that on UVHM, enemies scale. So, does that mean that when I hit 72 on UVHM, if I were to go fight the BNK3R, he will be 72 as well and I'll get better loot? Thanks in advance for any help.

yes, in tvhm when you hit lvl50 you can farm bunker and warrior and loot will be lvl50 as well
Normally, people farm bosses in TVHM or UVHM because the bosses level with you. Normal mode is somwhat pointless, as the weapons are already outclassed when you go into TVHM.
aight sweet thx guys
Weeeeell, kill a lower level enemy, and you'll likely get lower-level loot; it figures. On UVHM, all enemies scale with you, OP1-8 excluded. Farming bosses is basically done by saving and quitting, then going back to kill the boss, typically all done in the same area as the boss, to save the long treck TO the boss.

Normal (max loot/enemy level is around 30 on the main game)
TVHM (max loot/enemy level is around 50 on the main game)
UVHM (max loot/enemy level is whatever your level is)
OP1-8 (you'll wanna Google this; it's a bit more to explain)

^ That's the order of difficulty.

Do note that bosses are usually 2 levels higher than you, regardless of which mode you're on, excluding OP1-8.

Certain items (typically legendaries) drop from certain enemies, or rather, have a higher chance of dropping from certain enemies, thus the reason why some people farm specific enemies, such as farming Doc Mercy for the Infinity Pistol, because he has a higher chance to drop them.

Also, remember, there's a huge aspect of RNG (hence the need to "farm") so you won't be getting legendaries on every run, unless you are an RNG God.

I applaud you for taking so much time to explain. Thanks to everyone that posted! I get it now :D
