We both switch to LAN.
And then there is nothing when any of us tries to find a game.
Like the other one could not find anything around LAN.
My question is if there is anything addition required to set up LAN game for two machines hooked up by WiFi through router?
Try opening your network settings and create a new home network.
How you do that would depend on your setup, but usally it should suffice to
just create a home network there. See if that helps sort out your troubles.
Na kacu nie wyda :)
1) Both switch to LAN
2) One tries to "see" other on list - nothing is visible.
3) By trying to "Find Game" also nothing happens.
2 Methods:
#1 Deaktivate all other Network adapters exept the Network Adapter your connected to your Lan (your W-Lan Adapter in this Case)
OR
#2 Windows Vista/7/8/10
Go to the Network Connections control panel (Start>Run ncpa.cpl)
Open The "Status" of your Network adapter you wanna use (your W-Lan Adapter in this Case)
Select Properties -> TCP/IPv4 -> Properties -> click Advanced -> under the Interface metric enter 1
#2 Windows XP
Go to the Network Connections control panel (Start>Run ncpa.cpl)
Click on the Advanced menu and the select Advanced Settings.
Move Your connection up to the top of the list (your W-Lan Adapter in this Case).
Very late to the party, but thanks. I had tried several other methods before (including just sorting the network connections so that the LAN one was on top) and it didn't work, but yours did. Not sure whether #1 or #2 made it work because I did both at once, but the point it, it worked, thank you.
