Online LAN mode over Wi-Fi - how to do it?
I am trying to play on LAN with my girlfriend because lately our playing via regular network seems to fail cause of huge lags - the host don't experiance them, but the guest is no matter if i host the game or she do it.

Until recently restarting modem had helped (technicans from our ISP told that the modem gather some trash noises or whatever that impact on strength of the internet signal and that was the origianl source of the problem).

I belive if we could play on LAN mode via Wi-Fi problem could be solved. But there is a problem.
HOW to do it?

Technical information about our situation.
We both use Laptops with Windows 7 64 bit. Our connection to internet is via WiFi to router.

When one of us swtich to LAN he stops to be visible to the other. (of course both of us switch to LAN mode).

Could someone help me in my problem? How to make this game work under LAN.

Switch to LAN under Network Options on both PCs, then "Find Games". That's it.

I belive i described that do not work for us.
We both switch to LAN.
And then there is nothing when any of us tries to find a game.
Like the other one could not find anything around LAN.

My question is if there is anything addition required to set up LAN game for two machines hooked up by WiFi through router?

Well, have you set up your LAN over Windows?
Try opening your network settings and create a new home network.
How you do that would depend on your setup, but usally it should suffice to
just create a home network there. See if that helps sort out your troubles.

Don't know what to tell you, sorry. As long as both computers are connected to the same network, regardless if it is wired or wireless, LAN should work with no additional configuring. Out of 500+ hours on the game, about 200 of those hours I've logged through LAN.

Thanks, maybe i/we are doing something wrong.
1) Both switch to LAN
2) One tries to "see" other on list - nothing is visible.
3) By trying to "Find Game" also nothing happens.

Do you have one account or two? I'm having a similar problem. I haven't played Borderlands 1 & 2 in several months. I have 2 computers in a wired network. My daughter and I used to be able to play LAN sessions. This week she said she wanted to play again and we haven't been able to make a LAN session work.

We do have two versions of the game.

Hi, i had the same problem just fixed it.

2 Methods:

#1 Deaktivate all other Network adapters exept the Network Adapter your connected to your Lan (your W-Lan Adapter in this Case)

OR

#2 Windows Vista/7/8/10
Go to the Network Connections control panel (Start>Run ncpa.cpl)
Open The "Status" of your Network adapter you wanna use (your W-Lan Adapter in this Case)
Select Properties -> TCP/IPv4 -> Properties -> click Advanced -> under the Interface metric enter 1

#2 Windows XP
Go to the Network Connections control panel (Start>Run ncpa.cpl)
Click on the Advanced menu and the select Advanced Settings.
Move Your connection up to the top of the list (your W-Lan Adapter in this Case).

Very late to the party, but thanks. I had tried several other methods before (including just sorting the network connections so that the LAN one was on top) and it didn't work, but yours did. Not sure whether #1 or #2 made it work because I did both at once, but the point it, it worked, thank you.
