Can't Buy Fuel Cell From Crazy Earl

I started a Commando and was doing co-op with a high level friend on his 2nd playthrough it got me levelled up to about level 23 and I started on my own, he gave me 500 Eridium and I maxed out my upgrades from Sanctuary on his file now my own file I can't buy anything from Crazy Earl to get the fuel cell.

Could I maybe use a 2nd controller and get that character to buy it to progress?

PRO TIP: You cant trade eridium so he obviously hacked it, dont hack or be involved with hacking.

You have to buy something from earl for it and he had no more things to buy.

Hacking after 7 hours, you really don't want to enjoy the game I guess. Not only you ruined your commando and have to start over (anyway what's the point of wrecking everything in normal mode), you might have ruined the entire game because you won't feel like leveling up the "legit" way and will get bored extremely fast.

Well, on my 2nd playthrough i haven't bought any fuel cells from crazy earl since i had maxed my upgrades. I just installed the remaining cell and it worked normally...
I don't know if it changes since you're in first playthrough but you might wanna try that if you haven't :D

First playthrough you have to since it's impossible to have gotten all upgrades since you can't even access the shop before that.
Second playthrough it just skips that step entirely, since it's a tutorial thing.

you can complete the quest with someone else in the group that is on the same quest :P

How can he of hacked it?? I didnt think they could be done on STEAM games I'll be p***** if he has done I have got some really cool weapons in this first run suppsose I could pass them over but I don't want to start again.

You only have like 7.6 hours in the game. So why not just check the threads where people are actually looking for people to quest with, and start again. It really isn't that hard on normal.
