I heard that you can spawn Vermivorous with the son of Crawmerax dlc. how?

Vermivorous evolves at random from varkids. Chance increases based on the difficulty and the number of players: http://borderlands.wikia.com/wiki/Vermivorous_the_Invincible#Evolution

You cannot spawn it at will in a legit way.

Super badass is the stage not included on that DLC iirc. Still, it's easier to get Vermi to spawn at the Wildlife, Caverns, or Tundra, just because of the raw ammount of varkids and the distance between them. Unless you do the mission exploit, in which case it might actually be faster than the Wildlife dome.

There is a quest which name I don't remember, but the point is that you are tasked with going to an area and injecting a varkid with something. As long as you don't complete that objective, varkids will keep spawning on that area, so you'll have an unlimited source of varkids without having to quit & save or move around.

Of course, the obvious downside is that if you never complete that objective, you won't be able to continue the DLC story, and you'll never unlock the Son of Crawmerax, but if you don't care about that, it sounds like a pretty good way to fam Vermi, given that you do it on UVHM and with 4 players -real or not-.

ok, thanks! I am trying to get varkids but I keep getting tropical varkids. Will those still evolve into Vermi or should I just kill them on the spot? Thats all that ive gotten...

That's just the flavour name they get on that particular DLC, but they're the same thing for this purpose.

its best if you have four people and the item he will drop, the qaussar, is a god when fighting large groups of enemys, i should know, i have a lvl 50 version.

Vermi doesn't drop the Quasar. UBA varkids drop it.

the 3 places I managed to get Vermivorous to spawn, was in the Caustic Caverns, near the old farmhouse in Tundra Express, and once in the Creature Slaughterdome (while going through the Wildlife Preserve)

The varkid evolution is the same in this DLC as with any other area in the game, but if you want to efficiently farm Vermivorous, there are 2 locations you need to consider:



[SOLO] FARMING VERMIVOROUS:

Best Location > "Natural Selection Annex"

Why > Because you are GAURANTEED an Ultimate Badass Varkid in 3 minutes or less (depending on your equipment and skills)

[CO-OP] FARMING VERMIVOROUS:

Best Location > "Caustic Caverns"

Why > Because the difficulty of the Varkids is raised due to more players involved, the "Natural Selection Annex" is not ideal for Co-Op Vermi Farming. "Caustic Caverns" is a much better Co-Op Vermi farming location as the Crystalisks will keep the Varkids busy for the group whilst watching and waiting to see which varkid or how many will Evolve to Vermivorous. Additionally, you may also safely deal with Multiple Vermivorous this way unlike the "Natural Selection Annex".

No other Varkid locations in the game compare to the above 2 locations for the reasons mentioned. If you want to Farm Vermi Solo or Co-Op, your best choices are the "Natural Selection Annex" or "Caustic Caverns", no questions asked.

I recommend the Farmhouse in Tundra Express - it gives you cover which is very useful. I'd also recommend an infinity in case you run out of ammo. If you're struggling to get him to spawn use the 4 player slider (Google will assist with that).

I have (accidentally) spawned Vermi in the annex but it's not the easiest place to fight him, especially for the first time!
