Can you give some specific examples? Some bosses and larger enemies can't be locked, and it doesn't work on vehicles, but it should work on most enemies.

yeah i know that it doesnt work on higher enemys but it wont work on bullymongs and outlaws and now im on the last playthrough where they scale to my level it still odesnt work?
if I remember correctly, the Phaselock either stun-lock them by raising them in the air, or deal instant damage

its not meant to on small minions because its only just starting and on the 360 it never did this?

thats wierd, are you 'missing' when trying to pick them up? you have to aim to some degree

It should definitely work on bullymongs, and regular bandits. I just checked with my level 72 siren. Phaselock grabbed and held bullymongs that were around level 72, including Knuckledragger, just like always.

I don't know why it's not working for you. I doubt that you're missing, since the phaselock aiming has always seemed pretty forgiving to me. Is the phaselock having any effect on them? It should either grab and hold them, or do some damage (and apply shock, corrosive and slag effects if you have Ruin). If it's doing some damage, but not holding them, then I guess there's some kind of problem. If it's not doing anything, then maybe you are missing somehow. A simple test would be to let a bullymong get right in your face and then try, when it would be pretty much impossible to miss.

If nothing else, you might try the old thing about having Steam verify the game files. Maybe you've got a corrupted file?

WaxxFetish's suggestion of Thoughtlock is interesting. You don't have that skill do you?
ThomasTheTank Jun 18, 2014 @ 2:25am
i believe it is the thoughtlock skill haha thanks guys, i dont know why my xbox does it because i dont have the thoughtlock on but hey ho, thank you guys! :D

Does phaselock hold enemies for you on the 360, or not? Earlier you said "on the 360 it never did this", and I thought you meant that you never had this problem on the 360 and it _did_ hold enemies. But now it sounds like you're saying that it does _not_ hold enemies, even though you don't have the Thoughtlock skill on the 360. Just wondering which it is.

FWIW, I never tried Thoughtlock, but I would have thought it would be obvious when it was working, unless there were no other enemies around. And it makes sense that Thoughtlocked enemies wouldn't be held in place. They can't attack very effectively if they're stuck floating in the air. :-)

what i meant on my 360 is that sometimes the phase lock would not pick them up - without the thoughtlock skill on - but to fix that i would restart the xbox and it would be fine but for the pc it wouldnt and thats because of the thoughtlock. thanks guys! :)

I wonder if the problem on the 360 was that lag, or something like that, was making you miss?

Anyway, I'm glad you got the issue on the PC version figured out.

Its probably been said already but check your left skill tree and see if you have the cap-stone called "Thought-Lock" which instead makes the enemy fight its allies.
