Infinity pistol in lower levels?

Is it possible to get infinity pistols at for example level 35, or is it just at level 50? And is it dr. Mercy that drops them, somebody else too?

back when the game first came out, i got infinity the very first time i killed mercy. it was pretty badass for a while but i eventually outleveled it and sold it. the infinity is listed as having a chance to drop from any suitable loot source capable of giving orange rarity items, and an increased chance from doc mercy. if you really want it, just quit and reload. i usually did a round trip inbetween loads, first to go after the bee, then fast travel to doc mercy and take him out, then repeat.

yes it is possible. you simply need to spend more time spawning Doc Mercy in order for him to drop an Infinity pistol.

loot midgets drop them as well, better chance to get an elemental version as well, just open lockers and ammo chests and trash bins to find them

If you get one from Mercy, the level will depend on Mercy's level, which will depend on the mode, etc. For example, he'll be around level 10 in Normal Mode, and I guess 30-something at the beginning of TVHM. So, you may be able to get an Infinity that's around level 35-ish from him before you complete TVHM. Once you complete the last story mission in the main game in TVHM, Mercy will be scaled to level 50, so any Infinity's you get from him in TVHM after that will be around level 50.

If you have the Tina DLC, the Gold Golem can also drop the Infinity, and that DLC can scale up to level 35 in Normal Mode, so you could get an Infinity that's around level 35 from him in Normal Mode. I'm not sure what the minimum level is for the Tina DLC in TVHM, but you may be able to get one that's around level 35 in TVHM too.

Aside from those two sources, you can find an Inifnity pretty much anywhere you get loot (I found one in a cardboard box once), so you can find one at any level, if you get lucky.
