Is the looting shared???
I haven't gotten far in the game (test-played a few minutes of it last week), but I was wondering if looting chests and dead bodies is shared, like it was in the original "Borderlands"??

only money is shared.

Eridium is shared too, I think Torgue tokens and seraph crystals are shared too (but I may be wrong). For loot, the first one who sees a good weapon and takes it, keeps it.
ah, thanks. when I fire this up in Co-Op on my vacation week maybe, i'll invite others to join me and try it out (i'm currently new to this series, by the way)

If you play co-op the only loot that's is shared is, eridium, money, and ammo, gun loot or any equipments are not shared. That's why if your going to go kill a boss in co-op I suggest knowing the people you play with or knowing they want just take everything for themselves (Cause obviously you can duplicate items, if your knew I can explain to you how to duplicate if you want)

1. Choose a person and gun you want to duplicate (Choose someone you trust cause he can easly steal the item from you in the proccess)
2. Next press trade with him and add the item you want to duplicate
3. Both of you press on duel for this item
4. (This part he can steal it from you) when you duel the person do not go killing eachother, whoever has the item needs to go into his inventory and throw the item on the floor
5. Once the item you dueled for is on the ground kill the person who had the item to duel for
6. Once you killed the person who had the item the person who killed you should get the item in his inventory (99.9% it will work)
7. Person who offered to duel the item picks up the item that you dueled for off the ground
8. BAM! Duplicated. Anything you didn't understand just say so i'll explain

Just a note when you want to throw the item your dueling to duplicate it, if the item is equiped it wont let you drop it. You need to take the item off and put it in your inventory then drop it. This works for borderlands 2, idk if it works for bordelrands 1 cause I never actully tried duplicating in BL1.

The first time I played with random people in MY game was for the final boss. The guy rushed through the level, skipping cutscenes and when we killed the boss, he ninja looted the legendary that had been dropped and disconnected. So know the people you play with if you want to enjoy fully the game.

Well, Items aren't shared but there always is the dupe glitch to settle disputes, without that, borderlands would tear apart friendships.

No. But the game usually spawns items correlated with your character say a siren and a mechromancer. So the mods will be likewise. The way around this is the keys at sanctuary in shift. Without those the game would fall apart.
