I'm using corrosive, the damage over time seems to do more than the base damage of the guns paradoxially.
My sniper does the most damage, almost 3000 on a crit on a weakspot.
For reference, anything I hit in a critical hit spot does over 10,000 damage.
Two of my weapons are corrosive, a shotgun, somehow that works against him, and a SMG, which does pump out decent damage when ti fires a huge burst.
I've just not run into this situation where he takes so little damage from any attack.
Am I supposed to die over and over until enough Crystalisks and rakks die to level me to 31?
Seriously, I'm probably only 10000 XP away, but I just don't understand what to do here. And at 247 XP a Crstalisk, it's going to be about a thousand years before I hit level 31.
No boss in this game has ever had this huge damage reduction. Not even Orc Gods!
5 levels higher than me, and I have killed them.
So, what made the Warrior fight impossible all of a sudden?
I love this game, but if I keep running into bugs like this, I'm going to have to win the lottery and use the money to buy out Gearbox and make them release more patches. :)
A damage reduction on the Warrior only makes sense if he's really high level compared to you, not 2, since he scales, or maybe he's capped at 32? I don't know, but I really want to know how to beat an enemy that wall hacks you, and smacks you across the entire arena nonstop.
And sometimes, he even firebreathes on me 5 times in a row, making it kind of difficult to do anything but be set on fire in a corner.
What the hell changed so much in the time I fought the Warrior as Gaige, and this fight now against him.
I mean, Saturn even took vastly longer to kill this time, and he didn't take damage reduction.
I yelled at my computer eariler, because I think most people would yell if they mysteriously died fighting the Warrior twice ina row in situations that made it impossible to heal as soon as the Warrior had 35% health remaining. Seriously. What the hell happened to this fight.
Why is this forum a ghost town?
Thankfully, later today I'm going to be getting Mugen Souls Z in the mail, so I can at least take a break from Borderlands 2 for that.
My gear isn't even that bad. And even if I did get better gear, I'd still do magically less damage for no reason at all.
So, unless you want me to get level 30 weapons with the stats of level 40 weapons, that's not going to help at all.
And respec?
I'm running the Sniper Tree for Zer0. What am I going to respec into?
I can't exactly melee him, you know. :) I'm like 3 levels away from the final skill.
And friends? I like playing games solo.
And I'll only resort to friends if I can't get enough advice to clue me into what the hell I'm missing about this fight.
Because this fight just got stupid hard for no reason, and I can't fathom why no one else has made a post about this?
Seriously, am I the only one who has health and damage related bugs in this game? Ever?
I don't know what to do here.
A better sniper rifle than the one I have would do at most 200 damage more than the one I'm using. With his insane damage reduction, that means instead of doing 400 a hit, I'd be doing 500.
The rocket launcher does 3000 to his face/heart/etc.
If anyone can give me advice other than better gear, please help.
Because I really dont' want to give up on this game forever because of hilarious bugs only I get.
Luck for me I got a Jacob sniper with fast fire rate and a Jacob recoil reduction relic, it worked great.
Because I really would like to know what happened with my game, and if it's a bug or not.
The more people tell me about how easy that fight is makes me think it's a bug, but if it is a bug, how do you stop a bug that no one else has ever gotten, and there is no way to fix it?
I think my go-to weapon was an Explosive Assault Rifle (might've been a Unique), with the occasional rocket launcher shot for good measure. Might've used my Sniper a little, but it ate through my ammo (burst fire on zoom). I also used Deception to recover any health (Cunning tree), and ignored the Rakks.
Not sure if any of this this will help. A few levels can cause rather large spikes in weapon stats. Or maybe your Gaige was specced in a way that allowed for far more damage output?
Oye. There goes ever killing him since leveling won't help.
Seriously, why do I get all the game breaking bugs?
A fight with a boss that has magic damage reduction no other boss has, always mysteriously die when he's at 35% or so health, with nothign to help me revive.
No ability to dodge his attacks, no safe place, nothing.
I really don't understand how Gaige had no problem with him.
Yeah, Deathtrap zapped him with the laser of his a ton, but still, I did like 85% fo the work.
Having said that, I can't think of any specific changes to the Warrior, but having a time frame might help. If the first fight was just recently, then probably nothing has changed, but if it was a long time ago, who knows.
It's always possible that you've hit some kind of glitch. Unlikely, but possible. If so, exiting the game completely and restarting it would probably fix that.
Other than that, I'm not sure what to tell you. I haven't actually fought the Warrior with an assassin yet. Do you have a Bee shield? That might help. Or get you killed quicker. :-)
Have you tried standing back near the Eridium Blight exit? That's what I used to usually do, because it was a relatively safe area. But I think I read that they changed that, so it may not work anymore.
My Gaige was a No Anarchy build. I had no weapon damage buffs.
I'm not sure if my weapon stats should be this far off.
You see, if I'm doing 400 damage with a sniper rifle shot, on a normal zone, I'd need a sniper rifle from the late 38 to 40 level range to do the normal damage I should be doing with the sniper.
Maybe the problem is I keep firing at it's head.
But I did the same with Gaige.
Sure, there's a cap. I seem to recall that in Normal Mode he went up to 36. It may not have been that high. IAC, there is definitely a cap, and it's going to be well below 50 (because 50 is the general cap in TVHM).
I don't think the Eridium Blight exit is a safe idea this time. :)
THe time I fought Warrior last with Gaige was well before they finalyl fixed his body not disappearing after the fight.
I'd say, it was before Tiny Tina, but after Torque came out.
I can't remember the exact time though.
And thanks for the cap on his level info.
I'm going to take a small break from Borderlands 2, like, until tonight or Tomorrow, but then I'll try the fight again, with all the advice I've been given, and hopefully that works.
There is a cap at 33 in the normal mode.
If you have killed the warrior using other character, I don't think you are seeing a bug.
And there are relatively safer places to snipe the beast. I used only sniper to kill it.
Yeah, but It's been a long time since I fought the Warrior, and he never took reduced damage like he did here.
I'll try to keep aiming for his heart, but I don't know a good place to stand to attack him from.
His attacks are a bit spammy, and it's hard to find a safe place.
I wish I knew where that platform I stood on as Gaige was.
That made the fight easy since I never even had to move.
Of course, the big difference here is Gaige probably had close to 7000 health at this time, and Zer0 has a whopping 5200 or so.
He's almost a glass cannon. :)
That's with a 27% vitality relic.
