125+ golden keys down the drain

All thanks to the death of a hard drive and the fact your golden keys don't get saved to a shift account, just which codes you used to get those keys, so that you can never use them again. I was ready for my second playthrough, after having beaten just the storyline first. I was finally ready to go through all the dlc. I tried saving my files but to no avail, backing up the borderlands 2 folder with the saves did absolutely nothing. I have resorted to hiding this game from my library and I must say goodbye, because I'll damn sure never buy another gearbox game if I can help it.

I know you used to be able to give yourself gold keys, use CE and gibbed and give them back to yourself.

Gibbed cannot edit the file where key data is stored.

CE can do just about anything.

Borderlands 2 profile editor can edit the right file to get your keys back, won't mess with others saves, but can also be tempting to mess with all cool the options. Try to resist.

well to me sometimes the golden key weapons can surpass the legendaries in a way,
lets say u never reached level 50 in tvhm, the hell fire smg u can farm from scorch it is around level 30-40, but the golden key gears scales to ur level . So tecnically the golden key weapons r better in a way unless u reached that difficulty level cap or ur in UVHM then almost eveything scales to ur level

Actually each mission you accept scales with your level, so if you accept the mission at level 50, Scorch will be level 50 and so will the Hellfire.

Also UVHM enemies scale with your level, you can farm Scorch as many times as you want whatever level you are.

But it's better to get to OP 8 before you open golden chest for the best weapons, or else you will instantly swap it for a better higher level weapon 5 mins later, wasted key. The chest weapons aren't even that good either

There are some pretty good ones, actually. I have a level 51 Commando on UVHM, and 3 out of my 4 weapons are from chests. They aren't overpowered, but they're more than enough to deal with anything besides raid bosses.

the best thing i got from my 10 keys was a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ purple pistol.. just play the game like everyone else or farm a legendary idiot

If it really bothers you, I hear hacking them in isn't the hardest thing to do.
