I got my Storm from farming tubby spiderants in the dust. It will take you a while. :)

There's no specific place to get a Storm. It's one of the first set of pearls and can turn up pretty much anywhere in UVHM. Enemies can drop it, and I've found it in chests and gotten it from the Flamerock slots in the Tina DLC.

FWIW, the Storm is not that good. The area effect is kind of cool, but apparently the total electric damage is about what you can get from a regular Maliwan sniper, but it's split between the orbs, so the overall effect is reduced, or just spread out, instead of being multiplied.

I got one dropping yesterday from a random marauder at the Bloodshot Fortress. It was Op6, tho.

According to the wiki, binary and midgets have an increades chance of dropping it, so you might try farming the Sawtooth Cauldron, or rocketjumping and farming binary.

I don't think LLM's have an increased chance to drop the Storm, in particular, but they can drop the original pearls (including the Storm), although that has been pretty rare in my experience.

I suppose if you can handle OMGWTH (in Peak) at OP8, that might be the best place, since it will supposedly always drop one of the original pearls at OP8, although unless you can take a shortcut, like you mentioned, it will take forever just to get to it.

Yeah, midgets aren't the most reliable. They seem to enjoy giving players a big "screw you" by dropping some nice pearl or legendary after a couple hours of farming, only for us to notice that it's an OP7.
