Most reliable way to get Legendary Class Mod in solo UVHM?
Like title says. Been looking at some videos and reading on some forums, but all the info is very old it seems, also some seem to say it is impossibly rare to get them playing solo unless you trick the game into thinking there is four players...?. What is true and what is the current most reliable method to get a legendary class mod when soloing UVHM?

Don't just say trade or play in group. That is not the question here.

Well in first place, stop reading that page you are, its just BS :P
Most of the people got his legendary mods solo, since they are almost a guarranted drop from tubbys(Maybe 99% or something like that), but they only spawn in the 61+ levels in uvhm, they got a slight choice of spawning instead of a badass monster(not all monsters, just some "species" like varkids, skags, etc), so the best way of doing it is solo checking places where are lots of these monsters, and if no one spawns exit, back in again, and repeat until you found one

Alrighty, thanks, had missed that part about level 61+ for Tubbys. But there are lower lvl Legendary Class Mods too right? Are they just very rare random drops/loot until the Tubbys? No reliable way to farm a lvl 50-54 version?

Theoretically yes, any gear can be found from any situable source(for example, finding a legendary weapon in a simple chest), but the odd of getting it is Very low, you would be better farming the Enemy that drops it instead of trying luck in the world.Thats why most of people farm them, although if you see any of those legendaries below the 61-62 the most probably is that its not legit, but thats another matter :P

There are 2 different sets of Legendary class mods.

The original set is a part of the base game, and has one mod for each character -- Siren, Soldier (commando), Berserker (gunzerker), Hunter (assassin), Mechromancer and Psycho. Those can be found at most any level (the lowest I've seen was 20). They can be found in random chests, and even med vendors. Good places to farm for them are Mercenary Day (the chest after the boss always has some of everything, including 8 class mods), loot midgets and Pete in the Torgue DLC (he seems to drop them pretty regularly).

The second set is part of the second level cap increase, and includes legendary versions of 3 of the regular class mods for each character (eg. Legendary Nurse for the siren or Legendary Ranger for the commando). Those mods don't start dropping until around level 62 (where the second level cap increase starts), and are _only_ dropped by tubbies. But, once you get to that level, tubbies seem to drop them most of the time (the rest of the time they drop a WTF shield, Bunny lancher, Cracked Sash shield, or skin), so the main problem is just finding tubbies, and then hoping that they drop the class mod that you're looking for (since there are 18 of them), and that it's a good one (the stats on them can vary wildly).

And, yes, you can absolutely find both sets of Legendary class mods solo.

Thank you, very good info that! Might try to farm one of the old ones now then, and see if I want to try for some of the second set versions later. I do like my cat mod since I focus a lot on SMGs, so a legendary cat mod might suit my style.

You can find a list of all of the class mods, including the Legendary's, here:

I have had most success farming for tubbys in the Dust. Go out the back of Ellie's garage and head along Bug Gulch until you get to Boot Hill. There are at least three places where tubby spiderants can spawn. They almost always drop legendary class mods, eridium, and occasional legendary and pearlescent items.
I have all of the legendary siren, mechromancer and commando mods from farming the tubby spiderants. Some mods seem to be rare though. I have only ever seen one Legendary Hoarder gunzerker mod, which I gave to a friend who had been looking for ages.

While you are doing this run you can also try Gettle and Mobley for The Veruc and Lyuda legendarys. The Black Queen also turns up from time to time, and very occasionally can drop the Nukem launcher. Get to the end, kill all the enemies, and check for loot. Save and exit, and repeat until you have what you want.

You are unlikely to get a tubby on every run you do. It can vary but it it averages out at something like one every 4 or 5 runs. That said, I have had some runs with two tubbys. YMMV.

There are other places to try farming for tubbys - Caustic Caverns for tubby Varkids, anywhere skags congregate for tubby skags, the Highlands for tubby stalkers etc. The problem with farming the skags and stalkers though are the completely annoying rabid varieties that will spawn far more often than tubbys.

Oh yes. I farm solo. The only time you really need a team is to farm Vermiferous.

while not a legendary class mod, I did manage to kill Chubby Varkid on my first visit to the Caustic Caverns (which unlocked the "Cute Loot" achievement), and he either dropped a Whisky Tango Foxtrot or the Neogenator (both legendary shields)

I assume that you're talking about the newer Legendary class mods. The original Legendary mods aren't in their loot pool, so you've got the same chance of getting one of those from a tubby as you do from most any enemy (ie. very, very low).

It was almost certainly a WTF, because that's in their loot pool. Chubbies will always drop a WTF, Bunny launcher, Cracked Sash shield or skin. Tubby (UVHM) drops include the same items, plus the new Legendary class mods (starting around level 62). Tubbies can also drop pearls (in addition to one of their regular items), but that seems to generally be extremely rare. Pearl drops seem to be much more frequent at OP8.
