The second one is the crit fibber that has 700% passive crit dmg
and the third one is the shotgun fibber that just shoots like a shotgun but its bad
The barrel-2 fibber is still annoying to play with a Bee, I don't know a single person who prefers it over s DPUH or Sand Hawk. That is, unless someone plays Gaige.
OP what char are you playing?
as Buff has mentioned, 2 out of 3 Fibbers have rather useless specials. The shotgun one is just bad, and the one with crit damage bonus has arc-ish shots which makes the crit bonus kind of a joke. Also, the Lady Fist is just strictly superior to the crit damage Fibber, because the Lady Fist has even higher (800%) crit bonus and very high accuracy & bullet speed.
However, IF you play Gaige, the last Fibber is rather overpowered if you combine it with Anarchy & Close Enough. Whenever the bullets ricochet there, all it's pellets will still have full bonus from anarchy, and if Close Enough triggers, they will be homing towards enemies, while still keeping full damage because they would ricochet anyway. That makes this combination of Fibber + Anarchy + Close Enough extremely powerful.
Redundant can surpass DPUH's damage in long range if aiming right. A shock version on pete is also a great choice to knock off the shield. I dont have one for my mid character lvl 61 so i use DPUH almost always. Also the fibber will consume much less ammo so its better in places where u need to consider ammo.
Of course in short range, nothing can be compared to DPUH :D
didnt say it's weak. But it's annoying & boring to shoot the floor all the time.
If you really wanna talk about sheer power in combination with the Bee, we can definitely forget the Fibber except for Gaige, because Sand Hawk, as said. And DPUH for Sal. No way how the Fibber matches that damage in any situation for any char except with Gaige.
And the ammo is irrelevant with a Sand Hawk in 99.9% of situation becasue SMGs have a huge ammo pool. And Sal definitely does not have to worry about ammo with a DPUH.
The preferred barrel splits the ricochet into 9, each of which gets full amp damage from the Bee. The Redundant version (with the right barrel) splits 2 bullets into 18, but uses up ammo at twice the rate, so if higher DpS is important, this is the one to look for.
It takes some getting used to learning how to bounce the bullets properly, but it is well worth it.
I still keep the Harold for close up work, like rabid skags trying to eat my face. If they survive the Fibber while running at me. Surveyors on Digistruct? Fibber destroys them. Try that with a Harold or a 'hawk. The Sandhawk does have higher damage potential it is true. If all of the bullets hit, and the target doesn't move out of the way while they get there.
True, the standard ammo pool gives you more smg ammo, but I recently found a purple relic that gives my new mech +80% pistol and launcher ammo, as well as 4 extra grenades, which is very useful indeed. Pistol, smg and grenades would have been nicer, but hey. Sometimes the Digistruct chests do actually give you something useful for your 5 eridium. :)
Also, the elemental prefixes only occur if the gun does not have any Accessory, otherwise the Acc prefix would override the elemental one. So... that's probably a pretty bad Fibber, even if it had the right barrel.
If you like this Fibber, you might wanna look out for the Lady Fist once you get to Arid Nexus in your playthrough. It's from a side mission there, and it's like a highly upgraded version of your Fibber - better accuracy, straight shots, even higher crit damage (800% instead of the Fibbers 700%), and higher bullet speed which is nice for long range targets.
Same as your Fibber, the Lady Fist is extremely powerful in combination with the Bee, due to the rediculous crit bonus.
