One thing that confuses me.
I must ask, if Pandora is very distantly far away from earth, how did they create human civilization there?

Its a notorious place for vaults, which drew adventurers, vault hunters and fortune seekers to it. Dahl, atlas, hyperion, jakobs and torgue have all visited pandora in borderlands 1, 2 or pre-sequel.

Anyway, the humans we meet on pandora generally have either adapted to the brutal wildlife of pandora, or went insane.

Why do they have to be humans from Earth, maybe they're human like from ??? :)

Because it's a game ! - LoL

Wait I found a reason: the game took place at 5257.

So its 3000 years from now.

Borderlands is not a "serious" sci-fi setting to begin with, more like a comedy parallel universe where you shouldn't ask yourself too many questions about the logical consistence of events.

Apparently humans have not only colonized one, but several galaxies (!). Still we have to travel an entire planet by walking or driving cars all the time.
It's not even clear if you are playing a living organism or everything is just a virtual cyberspace like The Matrix, as the whole "digistruct back when you die" thing doesn't make sense unless they'd make a backup of you every second. And if Hyperion (who runs the New-U machines) would constantly make backups of you, Jack would know where you are all the time and could just send an army to defeat you at any point of the game. Not to mention that Roland could have simply digistructed back, just like everyone else who dies in the game.

You could analyze most of the background and story in the game like this, but yeah it's just a fun game.

Finally someone who puts the problem of BL2 in a nutshell.

This is also the only logical inconsistence I could find throughout the entire game. It's really a pity, because the rest really makes sense. Especially rocket launchers & ammo popping out of toilet seats.

Why is that a spoiler? ._.

Theres apparently a bunch of other colonized planets out there. Gaige is from Eden-6 and Eden-5 is mentioned quite a bit so there has to be atleast 4 other Planets. Hell, Salvadore is the only person here confirmed to be from Pandora.

Dozens of planets are mentioned in side quests and echos. Then there are all the ones mentioned in Tales, such as Eden-7. We can deduce that Eden-1 through 4 exist(ed) somewhere.

Here's a list which may or not be complete, since you can never trust that wiki: http://borderlands.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Planets

Thing is, the Borderlands universe clearly develops in a point where humans have colonized multiple planets in different solar systems -and likely different galaxies-. I don't know why this confuses the OP.

They answer that in one of the records u find through the game, Pandora was very rich in resources, so mining companies, like DAHL go to Pandora looking to exploit those resources, when those were depleted, DAHL simply left the planet, leaving all of their workers and personnel in pandora, wich have to survive the way they could, this is, by turning into bandits and such, actually in one of the records, Tannis says: " all the bandits u have been killing, they all once had families"

As mentioned above, this is a video games, and those generally take place in parallel universes, anything you know about our solar system does not apply there. there is simply no planet Earth in borderlands, at least it wasn't mentioned in any of the BL games.

More like a fictional universe. Parallel universes are an entirelly different thing.

The way I always understood it is that somehow we found out about Vaults possibly through space exploration and then it drew the attention of all these corporations we've heard about with Dahl and Hyperion being two of the major ones, with others like Jakobs also setting up shop.

The life on Pandora quickly became brutal and the human colonies or bases were unable to survive. Many of the adventurers who came to Pandora or the former workers and such of the corporations became distant, primal, and some just went insane.

Therefore, we have bandits. Those who didn't go nuts created home bases like Old Haven, New Haven, Sanctuary, and more. What was once a treasure filled planet quickly became a savage land of death and brutality.

But, nothing stops Vault Hunters. That's where we come in.
