Miss Moxxis Bad touch gone?

When I used to play Borderlands 2 on PS3 I did get Miss Moxxis Bad touch quite often.
Since starting playing on PC, I have never tried getting Bad touch at all, only Good touch.
For instance when I start tipping, she says the usual, and gives me the Good touch. Then, if I travel and come back I still only get Good touch. If I don´t travel, but keep tipping her, she says the usual stuff about giving me her favorite gun, but then nothing happens, NO gun is given me. Is that normal? By the way, DO NOT merge guns with Moxxis Critt :) It made ALL my guns slippery when I tried it on ONE gun, and no critical damage was given to them, lol.

Are you sure Moxxi did not give you a Bad Touch once?

She is giving you exactly one Bad Touch and after that only Good Touches in any playthrough, so maybe you got a Bad Touch earlier in your playthrough and forgot about it?

The only way to avoid it is playing in multiplayer by letting someone else get Bad Touches for you in your game. Like this you can get as many as you want.

Yesterday I got one from her then a few levels later a Good Touch.
Amazingly she did it for just $7 this time.

You should only get 1 per playthrough, although - IIRC - i also didn't get one on TVHM on my last char after picking one up in Normal Mode, could be bugged.

Normally you get one Bad Touch per character (not playthrough). After that, it's always the Good Touch. So, if you want a high level Bad Touch, you have to wait and not tip her until Sanctuary is at the desired level, which means no Good Touch either until you get to that level. Or use other characters, get the guns from someone else, etc. to get around that limitation.

I think I've seen people say that they got another Bad Touch after getting a Good Touch, but it's never happened to me (and I have farmed a _lot_ for good versions of the GT at various levels, because it's one of my favorite guns). I've probably seen hundreds of GT's, and never gotten a second BT. I've occasionally had Moxxi glitch and say the BT line again, but she didn't actually produce a gun.

Yes, it's normal to only get one GT from Moxxi per visit to Sanctuary. If you haven't tipped her before and you get a BT, then you can keep tipping her and get a GT too before you leave (unless she glitches). But after that, you normally have to leave and come back, or exit to the menu and reload, to get another GT.

As for you getting more than one BT on the PS3, I don't know. Maybe it was glitched on the PS3. Heck, maybe it's glitched on the PC (and you're supposed to get more than one BT).

Actually I played a lot on PS3 when the game was released, and it was the exact same there as it is now on PC with the moxxi SMGs.

No, it's not. It's one per character. I've gotten many, many GT's (probably hundreds), from Normal Mode all the way to OP8, and I have _never_ gotten a second BT, with any character.

mmm but I did. Just in my most recent playthrough. One in NVHM, one in TVHM, and I will see about UVHM once I get there. And I am sure it was like this on all my previous playthroughs, I always use the Moxxi Touches if the RNG gods haven't favored me for some time.

Btw the wiki states the same thing, but well from experience it's not always right.

Bug on your side, maybe?

EDIT: also, it really does not make sense that it shouldn't reset with a new playthrough. It would be the only thing in the entire "world" that doesn't do so.

Hmm. <scratching head> I don't know. I've been playing since release and it has always been that way for me. One BT per character. The Wiki talk page has some people saying they got more than one with a character, and some saying they didn't. There are a couple of theories, but they're just theories.

It would be nice if you could get another one without resorting to "tricks". I just got used to it being a one-shot thing a long time ago.

Vault symbols carry through different playthroughs.

Those are character challenge things. Emphasis on Character.
