I dont think that matters, but maybe it does.
FYI, that room will only open when you're doing that mission. After you get into the Treasure Room the first time, you can go back to the lair again, but the door to the Treasure Room won't open. Once you turn in that mission, there is a second treasure mission that just repeats the last part of the story, starting at the lighthouse, and you can fight the leviathan and get back in the Treasure Room a second time that way. The treasure mission won't be offered again, so, without using cheats/exploits, you can only get into the Treasure Room twice (per playthrough).
TL;DR version of what Enduro & Waste said:
- it's a good thing the leviathan eats you and dies. He needs to do that. It's not a bug.
- run over his "arm" when he is dead
- through the door you see in the end
- onto the pyramid-ish construction
- open the treasure chests
- enjoy sh_tty loot
- return to Oasis
- fixed.
This was actually gearbox's response to the fact that a rediculous amount of people were Alt+F4 farming the treasure room back then when the DLC first came out. Gearbox was like "here, you can do it a second time legit, now be done with it, mk? Now move on to something fun in this game."
