So it means I will never get back the content I got with my Shift Codes (armors, skins, golden keys) even I can see them in the list and on my online account ? ... :/
Edit : Thanks for the reply by the way
If you had the Steam cloud enabled for BL2 on the Mac, one option might be to get access to a Mac, login into Steam on the Mac using your regular Steam account, install and start BL2 and let it get your files from the cloud, and then manually copy those files to your Windows PC. I don't know if the files are actually compatible, but if they aren't directly compatible, it might be possible to "convert" them. I don't know.
If you still have access to your Mac, go to BL2 in your Steam library there, right click > Properties > Updates > make sure the check box on the bottom is checked.
Then, start the game, you should be asked if you wanna upload local files (your precious save files) or download stuff from the Steam Cloud. Choose upload. Start the game, load your chars, save & quit.
Then, start Steam on Windows, and also make sure that Steam Cloud is enabled here, same way as explained before. Then start the game here. Now this time, obviously choose to download the content from the Steam Cloud when you are asked.
This should fix it. But ofc, it only works if you still have access to the Mac and it's files.
Not according to Aspyr, copy paste from them.

PC/Mac/Linux are currently synced to enable co-op multiplayer via Steam.

Borderlands 2: Profiles and save games are not saved cross-platform in the Steam Cloud.

The same goes for rewards from Shift. They're only given to the system that they're used on, so rewards redeemed on the PC won't appear on the Mac/Linux and vice-versa.

I have tried with Linux, I use the cloud and my saves were NOT there for me and I was too stupid to figure out how to copy them there, and having and AMD GPU it was not a great experience anyway.
OH, and the link for you to see for yourself:

trukr, as said:
I didn't make that up ;) it works. At least for me.
EDIT: Win8 and Mac OSX Yosemite. Don't know about other setups.
You sure you are not syncing with something like google drive or some cloud thing? I have seen MANY have the same issue of Mac and PC not syncing and even the people who did the Mac and Linux version say it is not cross platform. The files do work on all though.
But I would give it a try on a friends computer someday. Even if I'm just angry about the codes, as golden keys are rare now... But maybe it's not that bad ? I don't know.
It's just weird because I don't remember why I would have change the sync settings before.
I trust you blinkmoth, but maybe it happens sometime (to loose the save crossplatfrom)
the save files are one and the same, I'm 100% positive about that. If you wanna do it manually, the location on Mac is:
user/Library/Application Support/Borderlands 2/Willowgame/Savedata. (this is the folder you wanna copy).
the Library folder is hidden in Mac OS by default, but you can easily access it via Shift+Cmd+G and then "~/Library", go.
not sure about the location in windows without looking it up, but i'm sure google can help you with that.
PC/Mac/Linux use the same shift codes.
Yes, the do, and that info is in profile.bin. Without that file you loose what you had.
