Theory: Midgets are children

Have you ever wondered how the Bandit population stays the same despite the vault hunters killing thounsands of them? Well I think the midgets are their children. This might seem rediculous I know but think about it. Different midget types could be taking on the role of their parents? And they have very high pitched voices like you children do. I don't know, this just came to me. Tell me what you all think.

Well, it may be that, but if it says "midget" I'll stick to that description. Besides a midget Goliath really seems like a "reduced" version of a Goliath, but not a children.

I think you are the only person here I think cares about the coversation. You have to remember, this is a different planet with different customs and different slang. "Midget" could be another word for child.

That said, I like your hypothesis better, and will treat it like cannon from now on.

I've never heard that before. Which game and what part of it does it say that?

I've got no idea. I don't remember ever hearing about it on BL2, so it's probably on the first game which I haven't played in years, since it's the one which deals with Sledge, and the fragment he founds seems to be the one that caused all the mutations among bandits.

But how would that explain the midgets miles and miles away from him? Such as in 9-Toes' lair?

I never think about the lore, but if you guys say that is true I will buy into it. I think whatever we determine here to be the truth is what I will go with.

Defintiely think that the midgets could be children. Even if they are mammals I think they probably are hatched from eggs too. They bury them in dung piles and they hatch out of there in a few hours at midget size. We don't ever see anything between midget and normal because the normal sized bandit is just a teen. The Goliaths are the adults.

Midget Goliaths are actually REAL midgets. Fully grown adults that are actually midgets and aren't children. They are mutations that never grew in the normal way.
