I'm Back, Shocked? Challenge Frustration

So I'm a level 69 Siren playing on UVHM in Pyro Pete's Bar running around spamming the Storm Front Grenade and shooting at enemies with my electric sandhawk keeping my fingers crossed just hoping to God it'll get this pain in the ass challenge completed but after a half hour of trying (I've done this before too) it hasn't worked and I'm wondering if there's a surefire way of getting this done.

The Storm Front is likely killing enemies outright, rather than with shock DOT. I have found shock Leeches work quite well for that one. Shock bouncing betty grenades etc can also work.
Try Pete's bar in TVHM. The enemies will not have the annoying UVHM health regeneration.

You are better off using Maliwan weapons for the increased DoT damage and chance. A maliwan SMG is objectively the best, you fire a few shots to bring down the HP (SMGs have low base damage per bullet) and then the DoT should do the rest, especially if the enemy is slagged. I wouldn't do Pete's bar at all, I would go to Frostburn Canyon, or somewhere where there are midgets mixed in with the regular bandits, as midgets have among the lowest HP in the game and are therefore easier to get a second wind off of.

I ended up going back to the game after making this post and immediately got it off my first guy who was attacking me alone in the side room of the bar lol

Damn thanks man, that's actually really unique advice I haven't heard that so far from anyone but I'll recommend that to any friends who try to get this same challenge done

I usually do this challenge all the way to rank 5 in normal, it is extremely frustrating due to shock dots having an extremely short duration (like 3 sec). Rank 5 is 50 times btw.

I usually try to get ahold of a level 15 or so shock plasma caster with a good shock chance to do this one. If you somehow managed to farm a very low level shock B**** Unique that would work as well. My lowest is like a level 21 and its too powerful for the area I farm in (Southpaw Steam and Power) for mini bosses.

Generally the whole thing is about timing bursts from your weapon so that actually the dot makes the kill and not the shots that trigger it.
I fird the smg class to work the best and Gaige in particlar has an easier time doing this one with some points in (more pep) and a zapper com.

but couldn't the Thunderball Fists work wonders for this particular challenge (as it's a rather strong shock weapon anyway)?

I looked up how to farm those a while ago and where to get them from and I'm unsure about doing that, do you get to save and quit at the spot before the boss fight with Flynt? cause if not and you have to run through the entirety of Southern Shelf every time just to get to Flynt I'm not doing that lol

believe it or not, his son, Sparky Flynt also drops the Thunderball Fists in the "Son of Crawmerax" DLC.

because normally I do my legendary weapon shopping from the loot midgets in the Wildlife Preserve, but Uranus in the "Commander Lilith" is also a great farm as well (as well as the porta-potty in the same DLC for loot midget farming, providing you don't pick up the magazine associated with that mission)

Oh nice I actually haven't done the commander lilith dlc on UVHM as Maya so I can farm Uranus as well as the porta-potty (idk what it is in this DLC with the ass humor lol) also thanks for the info about his son Sparky Flynt cause that'll be much easier to farm and plus that's my favourite of the headhunter DLC's for its summer beach aesthetics
