Power core fell off cliff

I killed wilhem or whatever his name is and the power core fell off the cliff I can't retrive the power core withour dying.any help?

same happened to me. i had to try to jump down a lil on aledge and searched and luckily i found it but i died severaltimes trying

i could be wrong but restarting the game and killing Willhelm again seems like the most viable option to me.
