this here is does an amazing job at answering prett much everything you wanna know about building a melee zer0:

I personally play him slightly different than shown in the guide on 72+, but that's mainly a matter of playstyle there. The guide is as thorough as it gets.
well i'm about to hit Level-16 after the Bloodshot Stronghold, and have both the "Killing Blow" and "Iron Hand" skills maxed-out to boost his health a little bit, and will be maxing out the "Grim" skill next for quickly regenerating shields for every kill made.
EDIT: Correction, went straight for "Execute" instead of "Grim"
At level 16 you can have Execution, which is the first requirement to become effective. That's what you want, and then move on from there.
all the rest: see in my edited post above.
Iron Hand is a big no-no?! :)
ILIFIwhatever this is the first comment about the game itself that I see from you for ages, and it's complete nonsense again :,)
your comment lacked any base to even begin with.
1.
More health is in no way a bad thing for a melee zer0. In contrary. You stripe your own shield regularly, so in order to survive you want some solid health.
Most people use Iron Hand on a melee zer0, even in endgame on op levels. It is a mediocre skill but it has some value, and since everybody wants to get Execution & MMF, Iron Hand is a standard choice in the Bloodshed tree. I personally prefer Be Like Water, but that's a matter of personal playstyle.
2.
Grim does not add any shield capacity in contrary to what you are saying.
The reason why it's bad is because it recharges your shield after you kill stuff, making multiple melee kills in quick succession virtually impossible. At least after hitting level 31, Grim is an absolute no-go because of that mechanism, since it renders MMF completely useless.
that's why grounded shields exist, so you won't die from grenade dots
grim gives you shields. it's a saying used by ninja players
in no way did i said it raises capacity
took me entire 2 seconds to find an Iron Hand melee zer0 player which even by your somewhat r*tarded standarts is probably going as "decent".

Of course you take Killing Blow first, but after that you need either Grim (which as said is a no-go), or you take Be Like Water (like I do, for playstyle reasons) and if you can't make use of Be like Water then you have to go with Iron Hand. Get it? there is NO OTHER OPTION TO GET EXECUTE. As I already said it's a mediocre skill but for most people still the best choice there, as soon as you start using roid shields.
that has nothing to do with anything here.
more health = more survivability, no arguing about that.
I'm out.
