there's some gear that regen you HP like weapons, relics, grenades or even some skills, if you just started add me so we can play and help with that.

Find dropped health vials or buy them from a Zed machine. If you're lucky, you can get a shield or weapon with a healing feature. Or you may have a special skill that will do it (depending on your character.)

Perhaps you should watch a Youtube playthrough of the game instead, as apparently all of the handholding Borderlands 2 gives the player is woefully inadequate.

Wow way to be a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ last responder. Find health vials until you can equip healing through a shield, skilltree, and/or relic. Do yourself a favor and pay close attention to the text on all items and get to know your skilltree and sort of what you would like to do with it. There is copious information on character building and equipping on the web.

Your best bet is some skills heal you (look at your skill tree) I know for sure Gunzerker, Soldier, Mechromancer, and Siren all have tier 1 healing skills meaning you can heal yourself starting at level 6

To be fair, the first game had medikits, so it's a bit odd that they removed that for this one.

Maya could shoot teammates to heal them.

kinda need that info to tell you about good early-game healing..

@marmelade & dontyouworry: nvm

@Xiado: you are even less helpful than those two.

Yup. There's no medkits that you can carry around until you need them; early on, you're heavily reliant on the instantly-used-when-picked-up health items. 'Leech' grenades might be available somewhat early, don't really recall.

Later on, your options improve -- e.g. weapons that heal in proportion to damage you do, or class mods that provide healing over time, or so forth. Zer0 seems a bit more dependant on gear for this since his lower-tier skills don't provide healing -- later on, he can gain a bit of healing from skills when using Deception, or on melee kills.

+1. Do this. Also tip moxxi once you get to sanctuary for guns with vamparism.

recommending Hard To Kill and Cooking Up Trouble is basically like saying "stand still for hours to heal yourself". Can't be serious about that.

OP it would be useful to know what class you are playing.

Before you get past Knuckledragger, all you have are lootable heals to use. Once you get past him and into Liar's Burg, you can purchase health vials as well.

There is nothing you can hold in your inventory to heal you on use though, those were BL1 only.

So, what would you call the "Health Now!" and "Rejuvenator!" syringes?

definitely not "dropped" health vials.

Or am i the only one who is used to games where these things actually DROP instead of exclusively poping out of chests, and therefore I have a terminology problem here?

Or do you disagree on that?

Yes, I'd have to disagree with that as enemies can drop them.
