How to start True Vault Hunter mode

I finished the game in co-op with my wife, but she was always the host. How can I start TVH mode with my own character?

Start the normal mode campaign with your character. After completing the first few quests, the game will ask if you want to skip ahead past quests that you have completed in another game. Answer yes, and you should be able to start TVHM yourself.

Select your character in the main menu and there should be a popup allowing you to choose which mode you want to play in.

In order to unlock TVHM, from my experience, you just need to be in a game with somebody when they beat Talon of God.

We beat the whole game together, but I can't choose TVH when selecting a character. I'll try to play for a while

If the other person was farther along in the story when you started playing together, you'll need to play up to the point where you joined their game, and then you should be able to skip the missions that you played together. Yeah, the problem is we began the game together in co-op and we never played without each other.

When you load your character, what's your current story mission?

The beginning of the game (which is the point where we started together). I think I reached Hammerlock.

I would complete the current mission and see what happens. You should be way over-leveled for the area, so it should be easy going. When you complete the current mission, maybe you'll get the option to skip the following missions.

u have to reach clap trap boat after u kill flynt after u talk 2 him on his boat a window will pop asking u if u want 2 skip to ur current progression but keep in mind u have 2 complet all main campaign mission if u didnt do 1 mission with ur wife ull skip 2 that mission after u complet that mission another window will pop and so on

I played for a while and got the rewind message. Didn't even have to reach Boom Bewm.
