I might be wrong about that
Do i need to buy the game on my new account? Because i just family shared. And if a copy the save games, where to i paste them? Because my save games are saved on the pc right? Not on steam
My advice would be to make a new character after you installed the game, and, then, paste the individual files (Save001, Save002, etc).
I'm fairly sure you'll need another copy of the game if you want to play co-op, but I can be wrong.
No clue where they are if you're a linux or osX user
"other computer"? No im on the same computer i just use a different steam account, i need to transfer my profile to another steam account, not another computer
Ok, my advice would be to make a backup of your save files, and keep them somewhere safe. Switch profile, follow w/e step to transfer the game or buy another copy, not sure how that works, then, launch the game and make a new character from your new (other) profile.
You'll either end up with another numeric folder in your save files directory (\Documents\My Games\Borderlands 2\WillowGame\SaveData), and you can just paste your old save files, or you will have your saves available. You might end up with no saves at all, but, in that case, you have the backup, so, you should be fine, just paste them back in the new numeric folder.
Still, it's always best to make a new character, to make sure the game creates all the necessary directories/files it needs, if it needs to.
Now, don't take my words as gospel, as I said, I might be wrong, but, if I had that problem, that's what I would do.
This is only for Windos Os, I can't help you with OsX or Linux.
Thank you so much, it worked. Thank you thank you thank you!
