As for the parts them selves for a legendarily can have i normally just use lootlemon site for that. https://www.lootlemon.com/db/borderlands-2/weapons
But yeah i find the pictures of the steam guild more helpful to learn what the weapon parts look like to learn from, since lootlemon only does text for the parts they can have but, at least tells you what that legendary gear can have, if it isn't listed then it will never come with that part and if you get traded one then that has a part it shouldn't they clearly gibbed that item then.
I'm like you for a while never really paid that much attention to the parts of gear. In fact i still have yet to learn the prefix names since that would help ton but i think that is just too much and just the parts to me would be enough to learn.
If you really prefer a video then am sure if you or someone else in this thread research would find it.
