Tips on playing Gaige??
I see everyone always talking about how Gaige is so OP (at least against non raid bosses) that the game gets *boring*. However I just got her to lvl 80 (no op levels) and it doesnt matter how many guide builds I use or what combination of weapons and shields and class mods, I do laughably small amounts of damage with anything other than an unkempt harold and a bee shield and just about everything can one shot me. I understand shes not supposed to be a tank run and gunner but I feel like what Im going through is just ridiculous and I've gotta be doing something wrong.

So basically Im asking how I can make Gaige into this absolute demon of a VH.

i once use redundant fibber variant that shoot 2 weak bullets that can naturally ricochet off the floor/walls while also splitting into lots of bullets. combined with gaige's close enough, the nth degree, 400-600 anarchy and bee shield, you can just take cover in safe place and shoot mindlessly at walls/floors and almost every uvhm mobs will get massacred quickly.

try practicing it in badass crater bar beatdown bar brawl repeatable quest, it'll quickly become a very lulzy mindless massacre... thoughyou'll have to get used with the screen shaking so much due to 400-600 anarchy+fibber's hyperion reverse recoil.

sadly you have to use the save backup file trick exploit repeatedly until you can get the fibber variant you want from that robot mal at the max uvhm lvl or OP levels you prefer. it could take 100+ tries. must be patient...

gibbed editor lol

yea back then years ago i didn't know about gibbed editor. since gearbox choose the bad decision of not providing alternative means to farm those wonderful quest rewards weapons, i think most b2 players would rather use gibbed editor.

I used to use gibbed like 5+ years ago but Im trying to keep things as legit as possible this time around. As of right now Im starting to make a little bit of progress, meaning I can actually survive for a little bit and kill things. But now Im just having average Gaige user problems. AKA having to sit for 2 days grinding Anarchy and then dying and losing it all. Im using the stryker to shoot the piano in the bar to grind stacks and its alright I guess but god I wish there was an *actually* fast way to do it lol

yea... gaige players doesn't have fast way to farm anarchy for every gameplay sessions except to rely on 1 shot quick reload jakobs shotgun against the dummy or non threatening mobs distracted by dt.

i'm too bored and impatient to farm anarchy with the dummy... so i usually just go find some weak mobs near the place where i'd farm for my targets and just use the jakob gun to farm anarchy while dt distract the mobs...

maybe timothy doppelganger players in b1.5 feel the same pain, because he had to farm money stacks to get huge damage for his builds from what i've heard...

as gaige like to say in some of her idle dialogue... FML.

also want to add another thing about jakobs shotgun...

their shooting sfx sucks... its like shooting empty winds...

and jakobs' woody weapon design doesn't mix at all with gaige's theme of hi tech cyberpunk anarchist...

also, gaige hate country musics... and jakobs is like the #1 sponsor for country musics in borderlands...

That's weird, God. Gaige nerfed? I'm running a new Mechromancer playthrough, no OP, not having triggered "completed first playthrough," and she's doing pretty good. Hasn't even had to respawn from battle casualty...yet, and I'm level 16. It's the items and weapons that made the difference. You see, I solo play only, and had finished the game on all modes before this, and I "cheated" this time around by using weapons cached in shared storage from pre-existing characters. Love those lockers and safes! Since I'm leveled so low right now, I've only bought skills on the top left (Best Friends Forever) and top middle (Little Big Trouble) of the skill tree so far. She can tackle almost anything with her Patriot's Infinity and Refill Avenger with their ammo advantages (albeit a little slower and less powered) and any of three barking snipers. Then there's the Slayer of Terramorphous class mod, Transformer shield, and Might of the Seraphs artifact. There are some pretty awesome grenade mods to play around with, too, notably ones that have regeneration attributes.

Yeah dont get me wrong I dont doubt that shes an amazing character in the right hands but I dont think Im playing her right and Im basically looking for tips and what I could be doing wrong.

I was able to carry myself through UVHM with her by almost exclusively using the slagga and unkempt harold. With anything else I did so little damage that it wasnt worth switching away from the harold. At this point Im starting to really utilize her ricochet abilities and thats helping me stay alive a little longer to get some kills bc I'll just sit around corners and shoot the walls until everythings dead. I still feel like Im dying fairly quickly but I still have some shields that I have yet to try with her so I'll mess around with those first.

Oh. UVHM is a totally different story. Okay, now I understand your dilemma. Enemies are far more deadly and highly resistant to your attacks. For UVHM, I'd select Axton.

You can kinda bore into enemies with Interspersed Outburst when jump shooting and the bullet does unusual amounts of damage into the target and can one shot some enemies on UVHM. One Two Boom really helps keeping Deathtrap alive longer since he will either glitch into the floor or go really high before throwing the electrical ball and still pull enemy aggro, Robot Rampage does a lot of damage and can one shot mobs on OP10, and Explosive Clap can knock back and stun enemies which helps Deathtrap as a functional distraction. Gaige also has two really strong glitches with infinite shield regen if you unequip her shield at a fast travel station while Deathtrap is active with Buck Up and you can go to Magney's Lighthouse or Thousand Cuts for one stack and utilize Shock and AHHH for infinite kill skills on reloading near a turret which can give you high movespeed from Unstoppable Force, unfortunately the damage from Evil Enchantress doesn't do much but you can utilize weapons with high dot damage slightly better. Sharing is Caring will grant you additional shielding hp bonuses when you activate Deathtrap. The Hot Mama Sniper rifle in the Lilith DLC overides the accuracy penalty from Anarchy.
