A bit disappointed ... farming Neogenator

I farmed Spycho for over 3 hours to get that shield to drop ... farmed it because I play siren and its supposed to be 'great' synergy with siren skill tree . Anyway , I never bothered to look at the shield in detail online prior to farming and have to say.... where the heck is the defense on that junk ? Its got like 33% of the protection of a blue common drop . Its got a nice health boost and elemental prot but 1 shot and your into health damage . Am I looking at that item wrong .... or did I just farm the wrong shield . I'm level 51.5 and need to get out of TVHM soon , running out of time .

Well, if you want a Neogenerator I have one. But honestly I much prefer purple Tediore shields.

I got the drop Soc ... but like I said above I was not prepared to see the low protection value on it considering the rarity and level . Had I done proper research before deciding to farm it I might not have bothered .

I will grab a Rubi from the quest .... maybe try for a slagga and then head into UVHM . I have already gotten a Hellfire , Harold , Lyuda and Neogenator .. what more temporary gear do I really need to start playthrough 3 .

Not much, if anything. As long as you have a reliable source of slag I would move into UVHM as quickly as possible, as your gear setup is otherwise sufficient for the move to PT3 and you would do yourself a disservice by delaying it much longer.

Yeah, I wouldn't bother farming all that much for UVHM. I was surprised my first go thru how quickly my lvl 50 gear became worthless. Its a much more drastic change than going from normal to TVHM was.

The only other thing I can think of is a Sandhawk. Siren is all about the Sandhawk and the Bee, but even without a Bee its still got significant damage.

It always pains me to discard a legendary but I've never been able to make good use of the Neogenator (nor the similar Seraph Evolution, which hurts even more cause I did Hyperius solo to get it). At higher levels most classes have enough health regen anyway to make it obsolete.

I do still farm Spycho but just because he's in a good run - Scorch, 2 red chests, good chance of a tubby spiderant. Also I don't know if anyone else uses it, but the frostburn canyon Lascaux is my favourite SMG in the whole game

the Neogenator is definitely the best health boost/regeneration shield in the entire game, i'd say it's on par with King Wee-Wee's Super Booster (if that one spawned with perfect parts, meaning almost 2000-shield points)

I use Neogenator more for the health regen between combat. I don't know where you heard it had the best synergy with Siren, it doesn't really synergise with anything. At OP8 when almost all shields get taken out in one hit the health regen is nice to get back above the health gate. The three shields I use most are the Bee, Sham and Antagonist, but Siren has good Slag abilities so I don't use the Antagonist on her.
