How do I get the ifinity gun and what level do you have to be

My friend has a gun thats infinite but hes only level 16

The quest is given out around level 8-11 by Dr Zed. You can find the quest that Doc Mercy is the miniboss of, 'Medical Mystery', after completing the quest 'Do No Harm', which is also given out by Zed. Do No Harm unlocks after you've completed the story quest 'Plan B'.

Note - Doc Mercy doesn't always drop the Infinity Pistol, and it is likely to take more than a few tries to get him to drop it. After completing the 'Medical Mystery' quest, Doc Mercy will always spawn in the same place. To make him reappear after killing him, just save and quit, then rejoin again.

Also note that Mercy will be limited to around level 10 in Normal Mode (the first playthrough), and anything he drops will be around that level, so if your level is much higher, anything you get from him at this point will be way under-leveled for you. When you get to TVHM (second playthrough), you can kill him to get a higher level Infinity.

u could farm doc mercy or if u dont have the time just download an infinity

to be really honest, you shouldn't bother farming legendaries when you're new. around level 48 you should try farming the unkempt herald (savage lee in three horns divide, near the dead corpse of corporal reiss) because you could use the damage. if you want more help, youtuber king gothalion and morning after kill are great guides. masterkizz is also good, but he sounds more new to the game than experienced.
