Pyro Pete Solo Zer0 Pistols Only

Hey, guys! I have been doing a bit of a challenge as one of my playthroughs, with a restriction being I can only use pistols as a primary weapon (grenades and melee are both allowed). However, I recently got my character up to level 72 and decided to try to defeat Pyro Pete as my first raid boss in UVHM. However, I had been having a bit of difficulty, so I'd like a skill build, weapon loadout, and strategy to help me with this fight.
Again, I have not beaten any other raid bosses in UVHM, so I have no drops from these other raid bosses, and I am solo, so I don't have any backup. I also can't use the trespasser, as it is a sniper rifle, which makes the Lady Fist considerably less useful.

Well, shock seems to work best on him, so maybe shock ricochet fibber with bee to get his shield down, then spawn some spiderants and or rats, singularity them all together and bore them with dpuh? Using only pistols straight up you will certainly run out of ammo.

I don't feel like playing through the game to get more quest rewards, so shock fibber is probably out, unless re-doing missions is easier than I thought, since I already have a unelemental fibber. However, I didn't think of using the enemies with bore, so that might help a lot.

Never played zero but i was recently farming raids with a melee zero and he was destroying op8 vorac at -33% health with killing blow. I have also farmed hype with a zero or two, and bore is incredible when set up properly. Maybe combine the two?

Note: You could switch either Be Like Water or Like the Wind for Ir0n Hand, personally I'd recommend dropping LTW, as you're usually falling into the "Shoot-Slap-Shoot" ´Rhythm anyways to apply Slag while out of Decepti0n.


Loadout:
Law - Your only heavy hitter option, otherwise the Rapier.
Evisc. Ruby (Slag) / Grog Nozzle
Area dependant Element - Shock could be an option here.
FFYL - A$$ Saver

4th is usually the biggest, baddest RL i can find, if that out as well for you, make your best choice in those two slots.



COM
Leg. Hunter with as much CD Bonus as you can manage.
Leg. Ninja for melee boost.

Hunter is my personal preference, especially when mobbing (CD Bonus + 10% Heal > Melee DMG Boost IMHO). Also, being able to more liberally apply Kunai is helpful. Just EQ the Ruby for a second while the Kunai work and you're healed.



Shield
Hide o. T. biggest possible Roid Bonus, inflammable if possible
Love Thumper, second best Roid Bonus, Alkaline or Infl. and the Nova is irrelevant, as you are soloing
Purple Maylay.

Hide is the best option in general and overall, however, if you've never played melee before the Love Thumper is a great entry-Shield, as it is MUCH easier to manage to keep depleted. And since Pete is your first target, the Thumper would be your best option anyways.


Grenade
Storm Front
Tesla
(Chain) Lightning
Magic Missile
Slag Singularity (even if you're not DPUH-B0ring, I consider this a ~1sec Stungrenade)

Storm Front/Tesla is important to get your shields down.


Relic
Bone, best option would be to switch Fire/Acid/Shock as needed
CD Relic
Forget Melee Relic, its Additive, meaning its bonus is negligible on Zer0, especially out of Decepti0n.


Strategy
Cloak - Kunai - Strip (your) shield - get behind him - Law (Rapier) and poke him in the A$$ - Ruby and keep poking a bit - disengage and get some distance - Cloak etc.
Throw in Add calls/shower time as needed.

You def want a Rubi (or Moxxi's) and remaining at M/L-Range (don't get near him,just kite).The S-Inf Pistol does decent,if you've got the time (and don't like/know how2B0re) it'll get the Job done (all you really need to do,is Kite,Rubi2Heal and S-Inf Pistol to slowly drop he's Shield),this'll how ever take a sht ton of Time ^^.Once he's Shield is done,just DP-Herold his Ass and he'll die (slowly,how ever).

B0re is really all you need,a Bee (Immfla one,if you can get it,if not a normal one will do just fine)/Pimper and it'll get the job done easily,long as you can group the Mob's up.

Thanks for all the help, especially to Amokhunter, but many people don't seem to have actually read the original thread, as I state I am only using pistols and I haven't beaten any other raid bosses on UVHM, so many suggestions aren't quite as valid.

they have. its just too stupid to try to kill raids with only pistols besides playing as salvador. theres no tips for that.
