Next best: Gather gear that alters Max Health, both to lower it as much as possible and raise it as much as possible. Equip all the lowering stuff, then remove it all and equip all the boosting stuff, this should have your remaining equal to the lowered value, letting you use health vials to heal up and chip away at the negative.
The problem with that is, I don't think you can edit that value using Gibbed. I wanted to see if I could check my challenge progress in Gibbed, and all I could find was a list of challenge names. No values.
I suppose something like Cheat Engine might help, if you could use it to make your max health ridiculously high, and then heal to fill that health. Otherwise, the best option seems to be like you said, to use things to lower and raise your max health. FWIW, I think a max health relic could be a big help.
<sigh> If you'd bother to read the first post, they've run into a bug. Their total health for the challenge is _minus_ 700 million. How, exactly, are "strategy and skill" going to fix that?
ever considered grog nozzle with DPUH? ever considered i am using gunzerker as my main character and played the most time with?
ever considered i killed hyperius and vora collectivly over 1000 times ?
ever considered that even when my health is full, i still get the health on damage return with grog nozzle?
ever considered to think a little before speaking?
ever considered that other people have been having this issue too?
ever considered that not all people are cheating?
Also, you talk about skill and what not and you have not even done 100 side mission in all of your 530 hours of gameplay spent on this game. Please go fix yourself before making fun of people and looking like a complete ignorant.
That doesn't really change anything. He was trying to fix a problem caused by a bug in the game. How in the world could that possibly be considered "cheating"?
Let's say tomorrow the game decided to lose your main character. It's been known to happen. If you had a backup copy of your save file, you could just use that and get back to playing. But, of course, that would be "cheating". No. Must start over from scratch. That's using "strategy and skill".
That may not be your intent, but that's what you seem to be saying, and it's completely ludicrous.
Sure, he could have tried to contact Gearbox, but assuming they replied, there's no telling when it would be, and no telling if they would be able, or willing, to help. FWIW, I've seen problems like this mentioned a number of times, and I don't recall ever seeing anyone say that Gearbox had fixed it for them. Even if Gearbox could and would fix it, how could it possibly hurt anything if he could use a utility to fix it himself?
Thankfully, it turned out that he didn't need it, but I still think your "cheat" rant is completely misplaced.
Milligrams? Ohhh... I thought it was grams. That would explain why I keep running out.
But the colors are so pretty. :-)
The only "fix" that I know of is to keep using slag. As injected11 said, there's a limit to the numbers that the game will store, and if a BAR count, like for slag damage, exceeds that limit, it changes to a negative number. If you keep using slag, it should gradually climb back to 0, and then go up again from there.
