Do a good amount of people still play the game?
Currently playing again, realised I hadn't actually finished the main story or sunk my teeth into the meat of the game but getting the Handsome Jack collection just allowed me to get a bunch of DLC so I decided to give the game a shot again.

Just wondering if people played online often, and what was the main place people did that on because I do want to dedicate time to getting to know why people loved BL2. As I'm playing solo currently I will admit the game does hold up pretty well. Managed to reach level 15 so idk how close I am to max rank.

Max is lvl 80+10 - you are about 40% through the easy difficulty (first of 3 story runs).

There are a couple thousand people that will show up on the steam-charts, and likely just as many if not more that are not counted for various reasons.

Yes, plenty do.

Gearbox has visibility of data in a way we don't, and this obviously also includes console players. Pun not intended, but this game is Legendary.

Lots of people still play, this is one of the greatest ARPGs ever made.

That said, a lot of the people who play these days, tend to either play solo, or play with established groups of friends. So the pool available for random co-op play is a lot smaller than the total player base.

If you want to play co-op, having a like-minded group of friends has always been the best approach.

Borderlands 2 typically has 3-5 thousand players on average. Borderlands 3 has 5-7 thousand. Not that much more, considering the age of borderlands 2.

Both games are great but borderlands 2 has more (and better) vault hunters, a far more charismatic antagonist and much better endgame.

Yeah, like this post was. I really didn't think I'd see basic forum use become ancient arcane knowledge, only understood by the few, this soon but here we are.

I just wanted to do a full coop playthrough. The few people that joined me quit at the start or were using mods.
